Potter Bridge in Fog

<pre>

It's been a bit quiet round here for a while, but I thought you might
like this.

Yesterday (Saturday 17th April), a friend of mine took this video fairly
early in the morning (around 7.15) as he tried to find Potter bridge in
the gorgeous, but very thick, morning mist.

I was a little way behind him, but not in sight of him (or much else for
that matter) in a Juliette. It was a bit of a challenge getting the
boat lined up, as you could not see the sight lines for the transit to
get it dead centre. There was actually plenty of room, as it was around
6ft 6in clearance. And, just in case you were wondering, we are both
properly trained and authorised to take Martham cruisers through the
bridge.

Three Rivers Race Web Site

<pre>Hi Folks,

Once upon a time I used to write for Anglia Afloat magazine and told
of how I had the domain "threeriversrace.org.uk" At last, it's
happened! I's now in use.

Craig Slawson has provided the webspace and the "wiki" software to
handle the technical side of things. Sue Hines has been approaching a
number of people to encourage them to permit old 3RR mail list and
forum postings to be presented on the site, and I've been helping
produce some of the initial content, as well as making that domain
name available.

There's just enough content on the site at the moment to give you a
flavour of what it is hoped it will become as it grows.

An explanation of "wiki" may be needed for some. Like a forum, it's a
form of web site that encourages ordinary visitors to participate in
producing content, adding to and correcting what's currently there.
Whereas a forum primarily aims to provide a space for discussion on a
topic and things written a year or more back can become difficult to
find, a wiki is</pre>

Three Rivers Race 2009

<pre>Hi Folks,

As I'm sure we're all thinking of those balmy days of summer during
this cold spell, I managed to make the time to finish off and upload
my report of last year's Three Rivers Race.

You'll find it at:
http://www.gregafloat.plus.com/seahawk/3rr2009.html

For those not familiar with the race, you'll find a link at the top of
that page that explains more about it.

I should warn you not to hit the print button without ensuring that
you have around 70 sheets of paper in your printer. (It's a little
over 24,000 words and includes around 55 photographs.)

As they all say these days...

ENJOY!
