HexChat

HexChat is an IRC chat program.
It allows you to join multiple IRC channels (chat rooms) at the same time,
talk publicly, private one-on-one conversations etc.

HexChat is based on XChat, but unlike XChat it's completely free for both
Windows and Unix-like systems. Since XChat is open source, it's perfectly legal.

I'm just tweaking my PC to play with a number of C compilers...almost
all that are in ports actually. I built PBIs for them, but when it came
to installation, it appears that I can't have multiple gcc versions
simultaneously, I'm getting error:

pbi_add: /usr/pbi/gcc-amd64 already exists! Use -f to force installation.

Is there a way to have a gcc version number in the directory?

PySpaceWar

An open-source game, loosely inspired by Spacewar!, Gravity Wars, and a bit by
Star Control (I and II).

Two ships duel in a gravity field. Gravity doesn't affect the ships themselves (which have spanking new anti-gravity devices), but it affects missiles launced by the ships.

You can play against the computer, or two players can play with one keyboard.
There is also a Gravity Wars mode, where the two ships do not move, and the
players repeatedly specify the direction and velocity of their missiles.

<pre>Hello!

There seems to be one somewhat serious flaw (according to this output
below) but the rest may be more related to running within KDE. It did
not crash as far as I could tell but when quitting the program it did
seem to leave some stuff running. This may take more testing or
investigation but I thought it would be best to post about this. I am
using v9.1 converted to RR with Fluxbox as primary desktop.

Netbeans PBI - bin wrapper suggestion

<pre>Love it, and I use it every day.

I suggest a small change in the PBI executable, we should create a
"wrapper" around it as for something like that it is very often needed
to tweak the settings based on the machine or on the needs of the developer.

This is what I do on my computer for the latest PBI (7.3):

#cd /usr/pbi/netbeans-amd64/.sbin
#mv netbeans-7.3 netbeans-7.3.bin
#echo "./netbeans-7.3.bin" &gt; netbeans-7.3
#chmod +x netbeans-7.3

then I edit "netbeans-7.3" and I add my params like
"-J-Dnetbeans.subversion.commit.deepStatusRefresh=false" that incredibly
speeds up the SVN commits. (in my environment this is crucial as we have
thousands of files).

<pre>I started using Qt for my development and I have noticed that we are not
including some plugins.

is it possible to add QtMobility to the default installation ?

http://doc.qt.digia.com/qtmobility/installation.html

I am developing on windows an app that uses the webcam and qtmobility
has qcamera that would make the whole process a lot easier. I am
already using the APP on windows while finishing it I was getting ready
to port it into PC-BSD and Mac

Once I get comfortable with Qt I might even start to help with some of
the development of the PC-BSD tools.

Thank you
