I used fink to install openvpn on my Mac.
But I cannot find easy-rsa that is supposed to come with openvpn anywhere.

Any ideas on this?
Thank you.

<pre>Hi,

I'm new to Fink and am having problems with the download of packages. Maybe
this is related to the fact that I am behind a proxy. I applied all the

I'm doing

fink install fileutils

and it's not finding it.. I find file utils in the "Packages" area and looked like it might be coreutils now but I"m not able to install that either.

finally breaking down and asking for some help.

I have a makefle with this setting:

It used to work fine, but after I switched to gcc46, I get the following
error:

g++-fsf-4.6: error: unrecognized option ‘-cxx=g++’

Let me know how to get rid of gcc46 and restore my macbook 10.6.8. I tried
"fink purge gcc46", but I still see g++-fsf-4.6

<pre>Hi,

A few days back (04 April 2012), I had installed gcc46. Alexander Hansen
walked me through the procedure.

I am experiencing trouble running a cpp program.

I have a Makefile with these first few lines:

#GPP = g++
GPP = mpicxx -cxx=g++ -g
OPT = -O2
GFLAGS = -O2 -c

When I try executing the cpp program, I get this error:

mpicxx -cxx=g++ -g -O2 -c ./annz_pe/annz_pe_util.cpp -o
./annz_pe/annz_pe_util.o
g++-fsf-4.6: error: unrecognized option ‘-cxx=g++’

I shall be grateful if someone can help me on this.

<pre>Hi,

Using OSX 10.6.8 and having just scraped clean an old fink
installation and reinstalled it (0.32.6), I am able to install GMT,
but not python.

fink --use-binary-dist install python25

Same error via fink commander.

I have x11 installed as the mac default. (XQuartz 2.3.6 (xorg-server
1.4.2-apple56)) It seems to function fine standalone and via matlab.

The x11 fink documentation doesn't address much past OSX 10.4, and I
have reviewed past posts but don't see anything about x11-dev.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

my problem Fink seems to compile everything for the i386, while it should

SETUP

it seems a very common setup, I have a OS X 10.6.8

fink -V gives me:
Package manager version: 0.32.6
Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Mon Apr 16 17:45:13 2012, 10.6, i386

The path is set to

(not the cleanest thing in the world, I know)

and I even went to the

and forced the architecture on line 17

I'm trying to install ImageMagick using Fink on Mac OS X 10.6. I have

I'm getting hung up on the "pixman" dependency. Here's the error:

<pre>Sorry for the ambiguity in the subject line. My fink installation seemed to
go smoothly, but since I met an error during my first installation process

the beginner list.

I was installing from source using the command
fink install relax-py27

The installation proceeded until a section called Compiling the C modules
and stopped here:

<pre>Hello

I'm trying to install fink (Fink-0.9.0-Intel-Installer) in my Mac, but I
can't. When I open Fink 0.9.0-Intel Installer.pkg I have this message:
"Fink" no puede instalarse en este ordenador. No se ha podido encontrar el
mensaje especificado para el índice 22.

And if I try to intall it in the terminal of Mac with de binary versions
0.32.5 the output is the file I send you.

Could you tell me what can I do in one or another instalation?

Thanks in advance

Trouble installing geda-bundle

<pre>Hello

Am running Fink 0.32.5.5 on OSX 10.7.3. All seems to go well except when I
try fink install geda-bundle I get the following -

fink install geda-bundle

Information about 4602 packages read in 1 seconds.
Failed: no package found for specification 'geda-bundle'!

I have managed to install geda-gaf so am unsure if I am doing something
wrong or that the package is unavailable, I do know it does not show when I
do a list. Any help would be grateful. Thanks.

Cheers, Michael

Setting up fink enviroment

<pre>Hey there,

I'm following all steps given in the installation guide.
But now i stuck at operating: /sw/bin/pathsetup.sh

It is trying to set up my Fink Enviroment by appending this test line to the .profile file.
But this is not working. It tells me that perhaps some other file like /.login is resetting the PATH after .profile is executed…

Any solutions to that? Couldn't find anything in FAQ…

Thx

Problem: Fontforge does not find Potrace.
I have used 'fink Install' for both packages.
I am a novice at this, do I need to do something else after 'fink install'?

The FontForge app appears in: /sw/Applications
but there is no Potrace app in /sw/Applications.
Is that right?
Do I need to unpack the package that sits in sw/src/potrace-1.10.tar.gz?

Many thanks
Walter
