<pre>Hi,

I am trying an initial load of opennms onto a Redhat EL6 server. I
followed the instructions as best I could and when I started opennms I
get the following error log. Everything looked okay except maybe the
"/opennms/bin/install" step which didn't appear to find "libicmp" even
though it was present in the /usr/lib directory. I had upgraded to the
latest jdk (7u_32) but I thought that might be the problem and backed
that out and allowed the library to come from opennms. Here's the
daemon/output.log, followed by a trace of the "/bin/install" running.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim Hodsdon

<pre>Hi.

I have problems with OpenNMS Installation.

We have JDK 1.6.0 (Only this)
In Windows 7 (32b)
We use postgresql-9.1.3
We've downloaded standalone-opennms-installer-1.10.0-1.zip (257.5 MB)
from sourceforge.

We want to test OpenNMS in a standalone PC with Windows 7, with
postgresql-9.1.3 in the same PC.

We've followed to install DB and OpenNMS the information in:
http://www.opennms.org/wiki/Installation:Windows

OpenNMS Installed with admin privileges, and start with admin
privileges. PostgreSQL is running with DB 'opennms' and 'postgre'.

We haven't JICMP6 or JRRD

But we get an error in start. I copy the log from jicmp (deleting DEBUG
info.):

<pre>Hi,

My goal is to monitor use of resources (CPU, disk I/O's, database queries, etc) on a linux server which runs many JVMs concurrently.
Do I need to install openNMS in my windows 7 enterprise laptop or on the linux server?
Thanks for your suggestions.
Pierre

New installation - setup to monitor MySQL andother ports

<pre>Hi

I have installed OpenNMS on our server and could setup easily to monitor
the HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP etc. But having trouble setting up monitoring of
MySQL and Webports. For MySQL monitoring I see lot of references to setup
using HTTP based monitoring but I do see in the configuration file MySQL
port 3306 as one of the options. I just dont seem to be able to configure
this to be monitored somehow. Same question with Webmin port (10000) as
well - how do I let OpenNMS monitor the port 10000?

Thank you in advance.

<pre>I am pretty new to opennms and to this email subscription service so excuse me if I come across as a noob. I have Opennms installed on a Windows 2008R2 server. We would like to set up automatic mapping and I did find this:

http://www.opennms.org/wiki/Automatic_Map_Creation

It seems to only show the linux commands for installed the map and link provisioning. How do I do this on Windows?

Thanks in advance!
