Is something planned to stop this happening?

squirrelmail 1.4.16
php 4.4.9

Error: your variable_order settings seems to be empty.. Make sure it is undefined in any PHP.ini files, .htaccess files, etc. and not specifically set to an empty value or Squirrelmail will not function correctly.

gpc_order OK: GPC
PHP extension OK

Error: you have enable any one of magic_quotes_runtime, magic_quotes_gpc or magic_quotes_sybase in your PHP configuration.

php.ini

magic_quotes_gpc = ON set to Off ( still the same error results )
magic_quotes_runtime = Off
magic_quotes_sybase = Off

any help or suggestion is appreciated.

thanks

i'm using SM in czech translation (encoding iso-8859-2, page encoding
iso-8859-2, encoding is taken from locale ???).

Some users need sent email in russian language (Russian alphabet) and
there is problem - mail is screwed with html entities. But if i switch
to russian translation, all is ok (encoding utf-8, page encoding
utf-8). So problem is that czech translation uses iso-8859-2 encoding
? If i changed to utf-8 (all translations will be genereted in utf-8)
everything will be working ?

I think that same problem must be with german translation (using
encoding iso-8859-1) and sending email with czech or other national
characters.

Thank you for your reply.

    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.mail.squirrelmail.user/35518</link>
    <description>The changes in file squirrelmail/class/deliver/Deliver_IMAP.class.php
in revision 12831, broke my squirrelmail instalation.

The change include a new function "send_mail", that it's not there in
the old file. (this method may be "inherited")

When you send mail or save draft, the browser keeps "loading" for some
seconds until it goes with this error:

ERRO:
ERRO: Conexão derrubada pelo servidor imap.
Query: LOGOUT

That, according to locale file, is the translation of:

ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

Even with that, when sending emails, the mail IS corectly sent.
But in both cases the mail is not saved (in the sent or draft folder).

If I replace the Deliver_IMAP.class.php to the old version back again
(even keeping the rest of the source updated) the squirrelmail goes
back working again perfectly.

What is the importance of this change? It's safe keeping this file not
updated? Any ideas why this problem is happening?

Thanks!

Is there a way to disable "Show all" option?
Why? Because when I have a lot of emails in my inbox I can not
display them(browser saves right_main.php to disk)
I know it depends on php configuration(memory limit,max_execution_time
etc).
I would like to limit displaying messages, so that, user can only
display 100 at a time.
Is it possible?

Regards,

user. I always wondred if they may have figured out how to 'try" and setup
an email account via Outlook/Outlook Express. I don't think so,but I'll
never know for sure. Luckily I had a day old back up of our email boxes.
I myself have looked at users email boxes via webmin to see what size they
are getting in their email boxes during school. Could this be a
possibility? Two different locales in the box at one time?
This is dovecot/sendmail/SM 1.4.8-4 (Centos5) default install.
Of course the contents of all her other email folders are still there.
How would one go about troubleshooting this type of thing? I'm more
curious than anything to find out</description>

Hello,

running Squirrelmail 1.4.6 on top of Courier-Imap.

I got a couple of IMAP folders that I would like to display on top of the
others, in the Draft-Sent-Trash 'special folders group'.
Those are Junk and Ham folders; I use them to train Spamassassin and it's
a bit tedious to move mails searching for them among the 'ordinary
folders'.
So this is what I'd like to achieve:

INBOX
 Drafts
 Ham
 Junk
 Sent
 Trash

Is it possible?

TIA and bye

    <description>Hi,

I am using 1.4.15 with dovecot on Linux and instead of folder
listings I get:

*ERROR: Could not complete request.*
Query: CREATE "Maildir/.INBOX.Sent"
Reason Given: Character not allowed in mailbox name: '.'

I tried a bunch of different thing, but can't get it to work. I
grepped around in the directory and can't find that error message. I can
use IMAP fine with Thunderbird.
