In short, In my case, for some reason the text part of the body text gets lost and only the attachment part arrives. When we disable the html composition option in Squirrelmail, the mail arrives with both the body text and the attachment fine. So the problem seems to be related to the html_mail plugin. I installed the Standard Squirrel Mail Version 1.4.22 and html_mail plugin and reproduced the issue and can send the webmail URL for testing if required (in Private Only). We are using PHP 5.2.14 on IIS7 and using hMailserver as Mailserver.
