<pre>Hello.

I've got a couple of installation on different FreeBSD servers which are
all showing a problem since the upgrade from 1.9.1 to 1.9.2.

If an email is sent with any attachment, an attachment arrives which is
just a few bytes long, holding only the "content" string.

Can anyone help me in diagnosing this?

 bye &amp; Thanks
av.

P.S. A downgrade solved, so I'm not in a hurry, but I thought the team
might be interested...

<pre>Hi,

I just set up NOCC as a simple means to web mail access. So far, it's working, which puts it ahead of the competition that I tried to get running. I like the approach, and I could be happy. But of course I did not subscribe to the list just to paise (but still, thanks for providing such a tool;-).

My point: I got a mailbox that contains 7 days of mail; the regular POP3 client deletes stuff after a week. In the world with SPAM (which I filter client-side), this amounts to about 700 mails currently. With that amount, NOCC running on the same machine as the POP3 server, NOCC takes _very_ much time for any action with that account.

I have to wonder: Could it be that it grabs a full copy of the mailbox on each run? My normal POP3 client first fetches an index (which contains message IDs, I suppose), matches that against a local cache and only transfers the messages that are new. This is very fast, over the internet. Now, getting a listing of POP3 messages and fetching 25 (or 50, whatever the setting for on</pre>

Remember settings checkbox not working?

<pre>Hi,

I've been using nocc for quite some time now, and today decided to
upgrade. Works great - but today I noticed some slightly quirky
behaviour which I also managed to find in previous versions.

My question: What exactly is the "Remember settings" checkbox on the
login page good for? I'd have said it's for remembering the Language /
Theme settings for the next login, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
If you log out from a session, or even if you just do an empty submit
(giving an error) and return to the login page, it's back to defaults. I
see no difference in the behaviour with or without using the checkbox...

What am I missing here? Is it a bug? I think it used to behave
differently years ago, but that could well be my memory.

I'm using Firefox 10.0 on Linux, in case that's of any importance.

<pre>Hi all,

Using FreeBSD for my mail server, I recently moved from POPD
(/usr/ports/mail/popd) to Dovecot2 (/usr/ports/mail/dovecot2). I've tested
my Dovecot's configuration using "telnet localhost 110" and "telnet
localhost 143", all are fine (got a reply "Dovecot ready").

I use NOCC and Openwebmail for my MUA, Openwebmail works fine with Dovecot.
But everytime I try to login using NOCC, it always said "Can not
authenticate to POP3 server: POP3 connection broken in response".

Is there something I missed in NOCC or Dovecot's configuration?
NOCC's configuration : $conf-&gt;domains[$i]-&gt;in = 'localhost:110/pop3';
Dovecot's configuration : protocols = imap pop3

Thank you in advance

Ugrade issue from version 1.3 to Versions 1.4 and 1.5

<pre>Hi List

I'm trying to upgrade from nocc-1.3 to nocc-1.4 and next to nocc-1.5. The upgrade goes smoothly except that when we log into the web interface, the "Preferences" and "Logout" links are not available (they're there in version 1.3!), leaving us a little confused :-)

Is there anything we have to configure specifically to make these options available in 1.4 and 1.5 after an upgrade?

Thanks,
Traiano

<pre>Hi List

We have a NOCC (nocc version 1.3 on Apache/1.3.41) webmail server providing pop mail access to popd on FreeBSD. We're currently experiencing an issue with a single user where all their mails show as 0 KB in the Noc interface, yet we can confirm, by telnetting to the pop daemon directly, and doing RETR &lt;mail index&gt; that the mail is not 0-sized, and that we're able to retrieve it. We see this issue with multiple email-client programs (tested from various locations), but only with this one user (as far as we've investigated!).

Has anyone ever come across this behavior before with the NOCC web interface? Is there some method we could use to troubleshoot this behavior in more detail?

Thanks and Regards,
Traiano Welcome
