Hi folks,
Finally, after much effort, I have regained the rights to Mulberry and am making it
available for free as of today. See:

<http://www.mulberrymail.com>

Some things to note:

1) It is free to anyone - no registration codes needed.

2) A new v4.0.5 version is available on the website. This simply removes the registration
requirement and updates copyright notices etc.

3) There is no formal support for the product as there was before. Instead 'community'
support via mailing lists and other resources will be used. I will make a best effort to
respond in a timely fashion to issues, but see note (4) below.

4) This effort is purely a personal one on my part - all the work I do on this is being done
in my (limited) spare time.

5) It is free but not open source. That's an issue that we can discuss moving forward...

6) Also, major new features/revisions etc are out of the question right now (though I have
a few pet projects that were being worked on before and which I will likely continue). Fixes

I'm new to Mulberry and only recently loaded it (4.0.4).
Unfortunately, the homepage is gone, so it's not possible to buy it.
Is there any retailer or store where it still can be bought. I work
for a university in Germany, so I do qualify for a educational license
or some of the sort. Any hints very welcome!

Thanks,

Can't reinstall Mulberry

In spite of all my foresight in asking for help ahead of time and
saving the necessary files, I have not been successful in reinstalling
Mulberry on my new desktop computer (which, like my previous computer,
runs WinXP Pro). I saved the preferences.mbp file--in fact, I even
wound up saving the entire Mulberry folder inside Program Files--but
when I reinstalled Mulberry and moved the old preferences.mbp file
over, it seems not to recognize it. It recognizes that the program is
registered to me, but then it asks me for all the information that my
preferences files is supposed to provide. I tried two different
versions of the preferences file (one saved just by copying, the other
by the "save as" method). Neither seems to work. I tried moving over
the entire saved Mulberry folder. That didn't work either.

I'd be VERY grateful for any help in getting this sorted out.

Thanks in advance.

Joan

User: xxxxx-97jfqw80gc6171pxa8y+qA< at >public.gmane.org
Password: pppp

On the Options-tab - under "Path" - enter:

"/xxxxx.fastmail.fm/files/"

Click "OK".

Switch to the Calendar-tab in Mulberry and log in to your new account.
You can now create calendars on your FM-account.

Turning on Protocol logging in Mulberry?

For diagnostic purposes, Mulberry is able to log data sent between
itself and a server, as well as log specific actions that it executes
itself. The logs that can be created are:

    * IMAP - logs IMAP network connections
    * POP3 - logs POP3 network connections
    * SMTP - logs SMTP network connections
    * IMSP - logs IMSP network connections
    * ACAP - logs ACAP network connections
    * Disconnected Playback - logs actions that are executed when
playing back disconnected operations when syncrhonising with the
    network server
    * Plugins - logs errors and status from certain plugins
    * Filtering - logs filtering/rules actions that are executed when
    filtering/ManageSIEVE network connections
    * Errors - logs internal exceptions

By default Mulberry does not log the au

I'm running 4.0.3 on XP in 3-pane view and some of my deeper subfolders are
not checked. If I check one such folder that I know has new mail (as
evidenced by Thunderbird running alongside), Mulberry will check all the
sibling folders. For instance, if I manually select Lists/Mail/Mulberry,
then Mulberry will also scan for new mail in other folders in Lists/Mail
and notice that Lists/Mail/SpamAssassin has new mail. Is there some setting
I need to tweak?

My Check Favourite cabinet has wildcard items "*:*" and "*:*/*". In
previous versions the first wildcard seemed to be sufficient to drill down
through the whole hierarchy.

Server is dovecot-0.99 running on Fedora Core 2, with mbox files.
