computer to recognize my wireless network. I went to applications -&gt;

internet does work connected through our ethernet cable.

I have a very old ibook and tried one of the troubleshooting hints to

yum groupinstall "Development Tools"
was rejected as an error.

Any tips? I'm feeling very frustrated!

[ydl-gen] firefox 6 builds without problems

<pre>For anyone interested: I built firefox 6.0 under YDL 6.2. I did not
require any patches (the ones used for FF 5.0 are included in the
source for 6.0). I used a similar .mozconfig and it build and ran
without any problems.

<pre>For anyone who may be interested I have successfully built Firefox 5.0
in YDL6.2. To enable build you need to patch two files in the source
so that IPC will work with powerpc. These are given in the following
bug report.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=520465&amp;action=diff

Having done this I used a .mozconfig as follows:

# .mozconfig

mk_add_options MOZ_OBJDIR=&lt; at &gt;TOPSRCDIR&lt; at &gt;/ff-opt
export PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR=/usr/lib/pkgconfig:/usr/share/pkgconfig
mk_add_options MOZ_CO_PROJECT=browser
ac_add_options --target=powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu
ac_add_options --disable-tests

ac_add_options --enable-optimize

[ydl-gen] YDL for CUDA 6.3

<pre>Dear All,

I have just discovered that fixstars have just got off a 6.3 release on
their x86 CUDA distribution and am just downloading it to have a look.
Notably, I found out about it not from fixstars themselves but rather:

http://www.yellowdog-board.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&amp;t=7860

Does anyone know anything about this release? I am wondering if it is all
worthwhile looking at in the first place given that it appears on
superficial googling there is very little chatter on the net, at least
publicly, about their CUDA releases whatsoever in the first place. Not a lot
even here. Where do their users hang out?

I am just wondering about the future of their x86 release(s) and if there's
any point at all trying it out.

Could I ask if anyone here is in the know, or could point me to the right
place?

Cheers,

Robert

[ydl-gen] Public Apology to Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore

<pre>I was misconstrued as having insulted Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. My
words were twisted and misinterpreted and I feel that there is a need to
explain myself and set the record straight.

What really happened

It was sometime in Aug/Sep in the year 2009. The setting was in the
Tampines Central office of Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd. I was having a
***verbal*** conversation with Melvin Lee, my new I.T. department
manager, when he challenged me to complete an I.T. assignment within a
specified period of time. In response to his challenge, I replied in
Mandarin: "If I cannot complete the I.T. assignment within a specified
period of time, then Lee Kuan Yew is wang ba dan". I used to be fond of
using other people's names to "bet" with people but now no more. The
Minister Mentor's name came into my mind spontaneously and I used it to
"bet" with my I.T. department manager.

Explanations

1. It was not my intention to insult the Minister Mentor at that time.
