<pre>Hey folks,

Just sending a note for anyone who's interested. This is a forward of
the note we sent to the press and I thought there might be someone
interested in this event here as well.

HasGeek presents Rootconf, a conference for sysadmins and devops.
While our previous event, Meta Refresh, examined the engineering that
makes great UI possible, Rootconf looks at the back-end engineering
which makes the same websites secure and snappy regardless of the load
on them. Rootconf also looks at how these websites are hosted. We are
covering cloud and virtualization for cost-efficient hosting,
performance tuning, configuration management when you have multiple
servers, security, and monitoring.

Rootconf is open to practitioners of technology -- the people who
actually design, code and manage servers. Sessions will not only cover
how-to-do-it-yourself, but will also present insights and learnings on
how systems were built and the processes and decisions involved. The
conference features speakers from Red Hat, Th</pre>

I never faced this problem in Windows.
Is it Linux Kernel's bandwidth management problem or an ubuntu-specific one?
I am using MTNL Broadband 512Kbps. New Delhi.

Needed to know what would be the best method to connect two laptops, both
using ubuntu using an ethernet cable, to transfer data directtly. There is
not option to connect onto an existing network.

Many years back a friend had connected his laptop to mine , i think using
ssh .

**
Also it seems that a cross over cable is not essential as the "newer"
ethernet cards are able to deduce and switch to the correct mode
automagically. So is this correct.

look forward to your suggestions and advice

Hello Gora,
I hope this email finds you well.

I am struggling a bit with the bn-baraha.mim file, trying to get it
functional. There are only two remaining changes I need to accomplish,
in order to get it working, and am hoping you can help me.

Here are the two issues:

1. Currently for the sound "ba", there is the character "ব" in place.
But I need to change it to "ৰ", and move "ব" to the "va" location. This
is so that I will be able to write Sanskrit shlokas using the Bengali
script. (Both "va" and "ba" are needed in Sanskrit).

I have been able to get the "ব" moved over to the "va" assignment in the
file. And, using another Bengali font I was able to put a "ৰ" character
in for the "ba" sou</pre>

<pre>Hello everybody in the Indian LoCo!
As we all know, the Indian LoCo Website was down for a few months since
Nigel did not have the resources to handle the website. Today, with a brief
discussion with the LoCo council, the Indian LoCo website would be back in
a few days.
We will be needing your suggestions for the new Indian LoCo websites. Any
types of suggestions will be accepted.
Lets make a better world with Ubuntu!
Jai Hind!
