F17 Media sleeves questions

Greetings all,

I know there are different versions of the sleeves right now - the new 
ones created for EMEA that are at 
http://duffy.fedorapeople.org/temp/f17sleeves-emea/ ...
and the ones at
http://inkscaper.fedorapeople.org/Fedora17/media-artwork/ ...

The sleeves in the latter category have a typo - they say "for futher" 
rather than "for further."

(Now, this would be funnier if it said "for furter," since that would be 
a hot dog joke, but alas....)

Anyway: I know that the NA folks would like to have the updated text on 
their sleeves as well, as they haven't sent it off. I believe nick 
bebout was going to simply send the EMEA sleeves (that are in 
duffy.fp.o) to the US printer; is there any reason why that would be a 
bad idea?

Upcoming FUDCONs

HI all,

was anyone here involved with the design of the collatoral for the 
Malaysia FUDCON?

do we have a list anywhere of (typically) each fudcon needs in the way 
of designed items (t-shirts, posters, nametags, logos, room numbers, etc)

Getting a solid list of things that we need to design for a fudcon would 
be awesome, so we can create tickets for each, and then put everyone to 
work designing them! :)

Hey all,
I'm a student studying Computer Information Technology (CIT) and Graphic
Design at University. I've learned the Adobe products pretty well
(notably Photoshop and Illustrator) for class but would like to be just
as familiar with the FLOSS equivalents. I've also done some web design
(just hand coded HTML/CSS) and interested in getting involved! So yea, I
guess I have to go though this in order to join the group. Hope to start
working on some cool design projects soon!

Beefy Miracle button drafts

All you awesome Fedora designers,

Mo, Ian - please let me know if I've massacred the Beefy Miracle or if
you don't want me stealing your sayings for the edge text.

I've done two drafts (one with a white background, one with a green)
of a 1.5 inch button (using the purebuttons.com template) of a Beefy
Miracle button.  The text 'Beefy Miracle' is supposed to look like
mustard - but I  can't even remember how to write in cursive so I
tinkered with a script font. I think I need to drop a shadow onto the
relish fading into the horizon and reduce the line thickness a bit
more on the relish pieces in the back. Let me know what else you think
should be modified/deleted/added. The NA ambassadors will be reviewing
the two drafts tonight (Tuesday) so some things may get changed in
response to their feedback as well.  The text around the button's
circumference will be printed on the sides of the button, not on it's
face.

I sent out a survey earlier to figure out what times would be good for
everyone to have a meeting. The invite went to everyone in the
design-team Fedora Account system group. If I missed you, I'm really
sorry, and I hope you can make this time.

It looks like nobody (who actually replied, anyway) had a conflict with
Monday, May 21 at 1500 UTC so let's try for then. 1500 UTC is 11 AM US
Eastern time. http://wolframalpha.com will convert to your timezone if
you type it in "1500 UTC in ET" where ET is your local time zone
abbreviation/code.

I think we should keep the agenda loose; we can go around 'the room' and
have everyone spend 4-5 minutes talking about what they are working on
and folks who are looking for something to work on or need assistance
can pipe up then. Sound reasonable?
