The affected packages are juffed, kscope, monkeystudio, ovito, qtruby,
smokeqt, tora, and universalindentgui.

I emailed the maintainers/teams for each package. The good news is it's all
binNMUs. I rebuilt the affected packages and they all build with the new
libqscintilla2.

They will all need binNMUs. Qtruby cannot be rebuilt until after smokeqt is
rebuilt.

If this is started soon, the source upload of the new qscintilla2 package
could be instead of the qscintilla2 binNMU for the ongoing sip4 transition

    <title>piuparts testing for wheezy-next and squeeze2wheezy-next</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.debian.devel.release/66532</link>
    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Hi,

I'm currently working on a patch for piuparts that will allow testing
upgrading to the upcoming stable point release. That will be especially
interesting for testing upgrade path fixes: a fix that goes into s-p-u
but has an impact on the upgrade paths of other packages in stable
(without requiring them to be updated in s-p-u, too).

My question for the RT: is wheezy-proposed-updates a superset including
the packages from wheezy-updates and wheezy/updates? (Except perhaps for
a short timespan a security update needs before shows up in s-p-u).
So I would only need to merge the Packages files from wheezy and
wheezy-proposed updates to get the full set of target packages (keeping
only the newest version). Or should I better merge wheezy +
wheezy/updates + wheezy-updates + wheezy-proposed-updates?

In the future with PPA/DPA/bikeshed/.... "stable-next" could be provided
"serverside", but for now I'll have to do it myself.

Hi,

I'd like to get gcc-4.7 updated in wheezy to add an extra Breaks that
will fix some upgrade paths from squeeze (#690172).
It's mainly about giving apt a small push to remove some obsolete
packages (that existed in squeeze but no longer exist in wheezy) and
therefore properly upgrade all packages and don't 'keep back' that many.

I ve been testing this in piuparts for a long time now without running
into problems, but getting much cleaner upgrade results :-)

I would clearly prefer a maintainer upload (perhaps with some more
cherry-picked fixes) instead of doing a NMU.

Please schedule binNMUs for drizzle, gearman-interface. They still
depend on libgearman6 (now: libgearman7).

nmu drizzle_1:7.1.36-stable-1 . ALL . -m "Rebuild against libgearman7."
nmu gearman-interface_0.13.2-2.1 . ALL . -m "Rebuild against libgearman7."

Note that gearmand failed to build on hurd-i386 so binNMUs there are not
really useful. I'm not sure how this is handled on the w-b side. Is it a

  dw drizzle_1:7.1.36-stable-1 gearman-interface_0.13.2-2.1 . hurd-i386
      . -m "libgearman-dev (&amp;gt;= 1.0.5-2)"
