We are researchers from different parts of the world and conducted a study on
the world’s biggest bogus computer science conference WORLDCOMP
( http://sites.google.com/site/worlddump1 ) organized by Prof. Hamid Arabnia
from University of Georgia, USA.

We submitted a fake paper to WORLDCOMP 2011 and again (the same paper
with a modified title) to WORLDCOMP 2012. This paper had numerous
fundamental mistakes. Sample statements from that paper include:

(1). Binary logic is fuzzy logic and vice versa
(2). Pascal developed fuzzy logic
(3). Object oriented languages do not exhibit any polymorphism or inheritance
(4). TCP and IP are synonyms and are part of OSI model
(5). Distributed systems deal with only one computer
(6). Laptop is an example for a super computer
(7). Operating system is an example for computer hardware

Also, our paper did not express any conceptual meaning. However, it
was accepted both the times without any modifications (and without

Abstract:
This document reserves one bit (M-bit) of the unicast prefix-based
multicast IPv6 address for ASM and an IPv6 multicast prefix for SSM
mode to be used in the context of IPv4-IPv6 interconnection.

The document specifies an algorithmic translation of an IPv6

Hi All,

I've attached the draft I had intended to submit prior to the last IETF
meeting (missed cutoff by 20 mins - forgot about UTC). I have been asked to
distribute this text for review by the ISEG discussion participants prior
to submission as additional changes may be required. This version of the
document corrects various typos, etc., and includes new text in which I
attempted to address concerns raised by several reviewers. I have been told
that there have been some off-line discussions (in Orlando) regarding some
open issues in which some consensus has been reached regarding how these
should be addressed in the document. I would appreciate feedback as to
whether the new text is acceptable and suggestions as to what might be
added or changed as a result of any off-line discussions.

I've copied the mboned group so that they may see the latest changes -
group members should reply to me and mboned< at >ietf.org if they have questions
or comments.

Thanks,

-g.b.

consideration:

-Is the document of a sufficient quality for publication?
-Are all of the use cases and components in the draft reflective of real

Please post any and all comments supporting/opposing the draft to the list

That draft is my draft-zzhang-mboned-mvpn-global-table-mcast-00. If you're interested in the topic, please attend the L3VPN session (it is the second agenda item).

MBONED IETF 86 Orlando
Tues, Mar 12, 2013

The status of the WG items was reviewed.
There had been a recharter proposal, to be reviewed by the AD.

* AMT was submitted to the IESG, there were issued to be addressed.

* Multrans Problem Statement
Ron Bonica: I'm not sure who wants the PS.
Joel: I do not know which items the WG should work on. If there are
implementers, it would be good to know what they are working on. I would
be fairly uncomfortable taking proposed work to the IESG with section 5
the way it currently is, and we do not have commitments to work on this.
Chair: There are people who want to work on this.
Joel: Running code and running away would be really helpful to know about.
An INFO document from an implementor that says they need the work would be
valuable. I don't

Dear all,

In light of the discussions that were held during the Orlando mboned WG session, we've submitted an updated version of the problem statement draft that basically removes Section 5 and corrects a few pending typos.

We, authors, believe the draft is ready for WGLC.

Comments welcome.

Cheers,

Title : Multicast in the Data Center Overview
Author(s) : Mike McBride
Filename : draft-ietf-mboned-dc-deploy-00.txt
Pages : 11
Date : 2013-02-18

Abstract:
There has been much interest in issues surrounding massive amounts of
hosts in the data center. These issues include the prevalent use of
IP Multicast within the Data Center. Its important to understand how
IP Multicast is being deployed in the Data Center to be able to
understand the surrounding issues with doing so. This document
provides a quick survey of uses of multicast in the data center and
should serve as an aid to further discussion of issues related to
large amounts of multicast in the data center.

thoughts.

http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-mboned-multrans-addr-acquisition-01

has been revved since the last meeting, I don't think I've seen any
discussion on it at all.

The dicussion of program guides and generically source discovery has
been a persistent issue in the multicast problem space since orgination
of work on it. I have come to view much if not all of it as misguided.
the draft recognizes this to a certain extent in that section 3.3 is
basically "do it out of band" e.g. it's the responsbility of the
application/operator to make sure the right numbers are used in in the
right places. that seems consistent with the traditional deployment of
such applications.

http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-mboned-v4v6-mcast-ps-01

Regarding this document it was revved prior to the previous meeting
iirc. to my mind sections 2 / 3 / 4 have a very di

Abstract:
Each IPTV operator has their own arrangements for pre-provisioning
program information including addresses of the multicast groups
corresponding to broadcast programs on the subscriber receiver.
During the transition from IPv4 to IPv6, scenarios can occur where
the IP version supported by the receiver differs from that supported

Hi,

Sorry for being late with this IETF last call comments. I will partly blame the ADs requesting this Transport Directorate review a bit late, the other part is all mine and the holidays. Anyway, I do hope you will consider these issues and comments as I believe I found some serious ones in addition to a number of clarifications that should be made.

Significant Issues:

1. Congestion Control
This is clearly a tunnel establishment protocol of something that is IP traffic. Thus normally the responsibility for congestion control is with the tunnelled traffic. However, I would like argue that this does not apply in this case due to the nature of the tunnelled traffic, i.e. multicast traffic and secondary due to limitations in the tunnel protocol.

Lets start with the second part. This protocol claims to support ASM still don't provide a upstream delivery mechanism, i.e. an ASM receiver is not capable of sending as it should. This prevents several existing mechanism for congestion control that exist in proto

The IESG has received a request from the MBONE Deployment WG (mboned) to
consider the following document:
- 'Automatic Multicast Tunneling'
  <draft-ietf-mboned-auto-multicast-14.txt> as Proposed Standard

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the
ietf< at >ietf.org mailing lists by 2012-12-19. Exceptionally, comments may be
sent to iesg< at >ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the
beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting.

Abstract

This document describes Automatic Multicast Tunneling (AMT), a
protocol for delivering multicast traffic from sources in a
multicast-enabled network to receivers that lack multicast
connectivity to the source network. The protocol uses UDP
encapsulation and unicast replication to provide this functionality.

The AMT protocol is specifically designed to support rapid deployment
by requiring minimal changes to existing network infrastructure.

This document discusses issues and requirements raised by IPv4-IPv6
multicast interconnection and co-existence scenarios. It also
discusses various multicast use cases which may occur during IPv6
   transitioning.
