This one's not even my fault :)

After the actual domain transfer for agoranomic.org completed
yesterday, I attempted to transfer DNS from the servers Taral was
using to namecheap's servers, first by choosing namecheap's transfer
DNS feature and then by directly changing the list of DNS servers.
After doing both, I was, for some reason, still not given the option
to actually set DNS records in the control panel, so I hoped that the
transfer feature would copy the records eventually and went to sleep.
When I woke up, the DNS had switched over, but the records were not
copied, so the DNS was down; the option to set DNS records had finally
appeared, though, so this should be fixed presently.

Again, not something I'm planning to do regularly. I apologize for
the inconvenience.

Dear Agorans,

As many of you are aware, in just two short months Agora will be
celebrating the completion of its 20th year of existence, having been
played continuously during that entire frame. As the world's longest-lived
and wisest nomic, and indeed one of the longest-lived and wisest among all
the communities of the world, Agora has established itself as duly
deserving of recognition.

Therefore, I propose that we begin planning for an event historical in
scope amongst Agora's already storied past. Among other things, I think we
should try to make contact with and involve some of the people critical to
Agora's history, including Peter Suber, Douglas Hofstadter, Chuck Carroll,
Michael Norrish, and many others. There ought to be commemorative songs and
poems, massive publicity, and, of course, the passing of commemorative
proposals.

I invite all thoughts on the planning of this vigintennial.

DIS: Economy Proto

[tl;dr: simple liquid currency with office salaries, case fees and
proposal fees. A small reward just for voting. Bidding to distribute
the top N proposals (other than those with low fees). Offices propose
their Salary during elections. The return of Caste, but no GP. ]

The rationale behind some of this:
- The reward for voting is not just to encourage players to do so,
but also to encourage spending rather than hoarding. Tax does the same
thing and for the same reason there's no 'spend N Dollars to win'.
- As far as possible I've tried to allow prices to fluctuate
according to how active the game is, in particular with
Distributability.
- Awarding the currency is divided between four offices and then
tracked by a fifth, to minimise workload and chances of the economy
crashing if one officer goes missing.

Suggestions for other things to add later:
- Something to do with the Speaker
- Contest fees to maintain their existence, then they can award a
certain number of dollars
- A functioning economy need
