<pre>Hi

I guess my question goes beyond what expiring was intended to do, but
here it is:

I would like to expire an article, but keep the ! tag.
Is there a way of doing this?

The reasoning is that I am using expire to archive messages from my
inbox, and I use the ! mark to mark interesting / important messages
which I would like to look at some time later.

Thanks,

Rainer

Is there a way of reformating (mainly fixing long lines in replies) in

Sorry to bother you all. I have a problem with gnus not fetching the
messages. It seems that gnus detects that there are new unread messages
on the server, but they aren't fetched.

This problem happened to me since orange closed their news server and I
turned to another server.

I can read the news on the same group with Mozilla Thunderbird, but not

I am using the latest gnus from the GIT repo.

I have also reset by ~/.newsrc and ~/.newsrc.eld files, but that did
not help.

But gnus reads information from file ~/.authinfo. I can check it by
deleting the file.

Hi

I have the following FFC header:

but I don't manage to acces the emails.

I have a dovecot imap server running with /home/rkrug/Maildir as the

I tried to acces the folder via the nnmaildir, but I get

| {nnmaildir:~/Maildir} (denied)
| {nnmaildir:} (denied)

for all tries.

Now I can't even delete the dead groups in GNUS.

Any suggestions?

Is it possible to set the Fcc to an imap folder, e.g.:

,----
| nnimap+Maildir:sent"
`----

and how can I set Fcc in my .gnus file?

Thanks,

Rainer

But, sometimes I need the data in the headers:

1) Are those stored in local variables? If so, that would be easier,
to write access defuns like `kill-article-author' and the like.

2) If not, I'd like to strike a command, view the headers (some of
them), move point (etc.), and get them.

So I wrote the defun at [2]. That actually works, only I have to read
the article again manually from the summary - is there a way to do it
programatically, like `gnus-article-redraw' or something?

But, once I've done that, I try to hide the headers again. But, then,
the defun at [3] won't have any affect (or rather, the highlight of
the From header face changes - ? - that's all). But, didn't it work
the first time around?

I'm pretty confused by this, so any explanations would be great. If
you have another solution to this problem, I'd be happy to read that,

Gmane website. What is the best way to post directly from within Emacs? I've
searched for a solution, but have not found one yet. Do I need to subscribe
to each group and suppress mail delivery (I'm accessing via Gmane). Any
guidance would be appreciated.

<pre>Is there a configuration option to do this? By default, if there is a
flagged message you can only see that message in the group and the group
will always show up in the *Group* buffer.
