    <description>Hi there,

I've got a user account (morphex) on plone.org, and I'd like to commit some
changes to Ploneboard.

Here's the command that doesn't work:

nbf&lt; at &gt;thewall:~/zope/ez_setup/nbf-fss/Products.Ploneboard$ svn commit
--username morphex -m "Fixing XHTML validation"
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: MKACTIVITY of
'/svn/collective/!svn/act/c84736b1-950b-451b-bc34-63ad5ca12206': 403
Forbidden (http://svn.plone.org)

Anyone know what's up here? I checked it out via http:// initially, but
updated the
entries file to use https:// afterwards..

-Morten

<title>PLIPs and the roadmap -- our most publicexpressions of improvements and direction</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.zope.plone.devel/20557</link>
    <description>

Please, could someone with privileges add a note to this effect at
&lt;http://plone.org/products/plone/roadmap/243&gt;?

PLIPs in general (not this one in particular) often lack due attention.

As accepted PLIPs are our most public expressions of improvements to
Plone -- the roadmap, our guide to the future -- I think we should aim
to keep such pages exceptionally clear and up-to-date.

(September/pre-conference discussions of direction come to mind.)

I appreciate that people will be busy with other things, and that PLIP
routines themselves may be subject to change before long, so there's
no rush for this.

Many thanks
Graham

    <title>Plone 5" x 7" Folded Cards Available Now</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.zope.plone.devel/20549</link>
    <description>Greetings!

I am happy to confirm the rumors that six Plone 5" x 7" Folded Cards
are now available for purchase at http://www.sixfeetup.com/swag/plone-cards

These stylish Plone cards are great for the holidays or any occasion.
Four distinct designs are available, and two offer the choice of
having extra text or not. Use them to wish a "Happy New Year" to your
Plone clients, mail a distinctive "Thank you" card to a fellow
Plonista, or just send a quick Plone note to your favorite consultant.

Price: $1.50 each. Proceeds will go to the Plone Foundation.
NOTE: In order to keep the price low, we'll wait until Dec. 15th to
have the cards made. Orders placed by Dec. 15 will ship the week of
Dec. 22, 2008.

Please contact me with any questions!

Thanks,
Gabrielle Hendryx-Parker

Hello

After many searches I’m stuck on several problems, I hope you guys can help
me :)
I’m using Plone as institutional webportal (Zope 2.9.8-final, python 2.4.4)
with python 2.4.4. The portal runs a zeocluster with 4 production instances,
3 threads each, and 1 admin instance (in debug mode). All instances share
the same ZODB and data.fs on local drive. We use Apache 2 and a
"STICKY_ROUTE" cookie to redirect user to the instance he's logged to.
We use SSO authentification (CAS) with PloneCASLogin 2.5.0.

Apache configuration:

    <description>Hi folks,

with regards to IDM (Identity Management), is there any common agenda or
roadmap to address this issue with Plone? What about Interfaces for SSO
(Single Sign On) with other Applications etc.?

FTR, building on Hanno's work, I've created an index that allows for the
installation of the Zope2 trunk suitable for use with easy_install (requiring no
buildout). To do so, I created eggs from the externals used within the buildout
directory, and put them in the index. Here's the set of commands that installs

    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.zope.plone.devel/20524</link>
    <description>Hi there,

while it is dark and unfriendly outside, I manage to put some more time
into Plone again. After we have moved to a full eggified stack and seen
a glimpse into the future of templating performance last week, today I
moved Plone coredev trunk [1] to a Repoze (WSGI) based configuration.

The most common commands you use to interact with Plone are documented
in the README.txt in the checkout. For the most part they stay the same.
Right now you will need to create a new Zope user manually using for
example "./bin/addzope2user admin admin".

The move away from a classical install and towards WSGI at this point
doesn't mean we will go down this route for sure. The decision for this
will be made following our normal processes based on a recommendation
from the framework team.

The change at this point is meant to spur more interest in this
direction and expose it to a wider audience. We have a strong developer
interest in this direction and in my personal opinion it is the right
and a crucial step to take</description>

<description>I propose the change below, which makes main_template.pt a proper HTML
document.

Lost functionality: No easy way to override DOCTYPE.
Argument against that: If you want that, make a custom main_template.pt.
Long-term benefit: XML-complaince is key.

    <title>fake-zope-eggs harmful for your buildout!</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.zope.plone.devel/20503</link>
    <description>
Hi!

Today I narrowed down a bug which hunted us in several more complex
buildouts. The problem is that some egg dependencies aren't picked up
properly and we had to add them directly to the buildout.cfg eggs list
instead of relying on buildout/setuptools. I finally found the cause today!

If you depend on a fake egg, dependencies break.

I attached a very simple buildout which demonstrates the problem. After
you ran buildout you can check bin/instance and see that two eggs (bar and
blubb) are missing in the sys.path. In the zc.recipe.egg created bin/foo
script they are added correctly.

Wichert just added that Plone 3.2 depends on fake eggs, so this is
critical to fix and any help is appreciated.

Regards,
