<pre>Using v. 3.4-beta4-20766
twenty 11 theme
no plugins

WordPress is redirecting to my home page instead of issuing a page not found
error when people looking to buy garbage (insert spam term here) are sent to
pages Spammers wish were on my site .

For instance try appending /?page_name=trash&amp;id=1995 to any WordPress url.
Instead of getting a page not found it goes to the home page. This is bad
because Google's algorithm seems to associate the trash terms with my site
if it doesn't get a 401 error.

I could be wrong about Google's associations but the trash terms are not in
my theme, content, or database and Google hasn't reduced the keyword
standings for the trash terms. - On my best day I get 20,000 hits that may
be legit. With the miracle of spam my pages can get 80,000 hits. Guess what
Google thinks are significant terms for my site.

Is this a bug or have I missed the beauty of something?
Thanks,
Christine

<pre>Hello,

I think I may have come across a regression in the latest nightly build.

I'm using the following url on it's own line to embed a video from Youtube:

http://youtu.be/D7JB68sLGY8

Here's a screenshot from trunk:
https://img.skitch.com/20120422-pwsf6cmjgyns2bhsa49pnsh3cq.png

And one from 3.3.1:
https://img.skitch.com/20120422-cuncch5qykhhjyh6s7b1uhxug4.png

Notice how the trunk embed appears at a width of 300px while the 3.3.1
example appears at a width of 584px.

584 is the value of the $content_width global which seems to be ignored
in trunk.

I've tested with Twenty Eleven as well as a few other themes that I have
installed locally and the results were the same as outlined above.

Best,
-Mike

Error in Twenty Twelve Theme with add_custom_background

<pre>Hi Everyone,

Unsure if this is the correct place, but I just downloaded the
latest.zip file from the wordpress site, and there seems to be an issue
with the twenty twelve that was in it.

It complains about the deprecated use of add_custom_background and to
use add_theme_support ( 'custom-background' ); instead.

I have editted the functions.php file to use add_theme_support (
'custom-background' ); instead, but now I get a new error.

Warning: Cannot unset offset in a non-array variable in
/home/daniel/public_html/development-sites/wordpress-stable.dev/web/public/wordpress/wp-includes/theme.php
on line 1370 Warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in
/home/daniel/public_html/development-sites/wordpress-stable.dev/web/public/wordpress/wp-includes/theme.php
on line 1390

I'm not sure how to fix that I have looked in the wordpress code and
seen where its doing the unset.

Thanks
Daniel.

<pre>Hi there!

I'm having a problem with the user authentication. But I'm not totally
sure, if it is a bug or something I'm doing wrong.

Basically what I need to do is:

1 - Logout any logged user
2 - Sign in with a user
3 - Show the first/last name of the user using a shortcode

So, I've made this testing plugin with some random strange behaviors. The
result of the plugin is:

FN_User1
Logged user: FN_User1 LN_User1

FN_User2 *as you can see here, user 2 was logged, but the shortcode
still have user1 information*
Logged user: FN_User1 LN_User1

FN_User1
Logged user: FN_User1 LN_User1

1.7&lt;http://wordpress.org/support/topic/jquery-17-in-wordpress-33-beta-3&gt;,
which ships with WordPress 3.3 as of Beta 3.

Should we be compiling a list of known jQuery 1.7-incompatible third-party
scripts, to be included in the release notes, etc.? I say "third party"
because I believe that WordPress Plugin/Theme developers have enough
advanced warning to ensure that their Plugins/Themes are compatible -
unless they rely on such third-party scripts as Nivo Slider.

(And if this question is better posed to wp-docs, just let me know!)

<pre>It seems that latest night build don't solve the Ticket #14589
&lt;http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/14589&gt;

Just done a check on my test blog offline and on another one online
(with latest night build). Both of them have got the common problem
explained in the ticket. When you go to something like
mydomain.com/tag/test/ it just display posts with the 'test' tag, not
other post-types.
Problem is still there and it is solved from this code in functions.php:

function post_type_tags_fix($request) {
     if ( isset($request['tag']) &amp;&amp; !isset($request['post_type']) )
     $request['post_type'] = 'any';
     return $request;
}
add_filter('request', 'post_type_tags_fix');

My custom post type is the following one :

/* [ CUSTOM POST TYPE RECENSIONE ] */
add_action( 'init', 'register_cpt_recensione' );
function register_cpt_recensione() {
     $labels = array(
         'name' =&gt; _x( 'Recensioni', 'recensione' ),

Wordpress 3.3 Beta 2: register_cpt excerpt

<pre>Hello

Just finished the download and update to the latest night build.
post_type is buggy. I'm testing a structure like this and i cannot see
anymore the field excerpt when i add a new "recensione".
it's a new problem because Beta 1 was perfect and i was using the
following structure without problems. Keep in mind that i'm still using
the same code and same plugins.
Anyone with the same bug ?
Greetings

/* [ CUSTOM POST TYPE RECENSIONE ] */
add_action( 'init', 'register_cpt_recensione' );
function register_cpt_recensione() {
     $labels = array(
         'name' =&gt; _x( 'Recensioni', 'recensione' ),
         'singular_name' =&gt; _x( 'Recensione', 'recensione' ),
         'add_new' =&gt; _x( 'Aggiungi Recensione', 'recensione' ),
         'add_new_item' =&gt; _x( 'Aggiunti Nuova Recensione', 'recensione' ),
         'edit_item' =&gt; _x( 'Edit Recensione', 'recensione' ),
         'new_item' =&gt; _x( 'Nuova Recensione', 'recensione' ),
         'view_item' =&gt; _x( 'View Recensione', 'recensione' ),

Update Numbers

<pre>Hey Guys quick question. 3.3-beta2 updates numbers are barely noticeable
http://cl.ly/0m0V3G1H3z2g1j212N1n, one of them turns into the same color as
the update circle http://cl.ly/0p1z1y2H111C250D1g08 and the other one is
barely different http://cl.ly/0u210q1V450F3k122G0z from the background. This
is on a HD Display, can't imagine how would this be on a regular monitor. Is
this know and ok?

Browser: Chrome Canary (Mac)

Cheers,
Emil
