<pre>Trying to figure out if I can point RightFax/SR-140 to multiple ip addresses based on destination address.

I'm pretty sure the RightFax 9.4 / SR-140 doing H323/T38 can only point to 1 ip address or RightFax can route to particular SR-140, then it's up to your peer PBX/H323 gateway to do the TEHO/Least Cost Routing etc.

Example customer request, they only have a couple SR-140s and locations in many more cities and want outbound to go out the end user's city.

We have some scope items that I want to make sure that we can meet for the outbound faxing project.

* Outbound faxes will use the PRI/trunk of the site of the originating fax. For example, if the fax is sent out of Tokyo it will use the local Tokyo PRI for the outbound call.
* If the outbound trunk is down, the fax can route out of a secondary path._______________________________________________

Quick one if anyone has tried changing Voice mail profile in Bulk, with

migrate to a new voice mail system. I know we can migrate all using line
update query or if they have some sort of common pattern. BUt this is like
random 100 users every time business selects to migrate. Can we do this
using CSV file or any other means?

alerts are happening all of a sudden.

<pre>We're prepping to upgrade our UCCX (from 8.5.1 SU2 to SU3). Of course,
this means all our agents will have to upgrade.

Since our endusers are not admins on the machines, this means I have
upgrade the client for them.

It begs the question, has anyone tried a software deployment solution (SCCM
or Altiris) to push the updated agent?

I'll have to get a feature request into my Account team. My SSL
VPN utilizes an installer service that you install as an admin once, and it
runs with local system privileges. When the SSL vpn client needs to
update, it will utilize this service, and the service will perform the
upgrade, neatly sidestepping the fact the end user does not
have privileges to install software.

Cisco could easily use the same tactic for the CAD / HRS / Supervisor
desktop.

<pre>I have a client who is working backwards to go forwards. Mgmt wants to compare Avaya to Cisco so a pilot is in works starting today but call control will stay Avaya. There are no immediate plans on going Cisco. We are involved to help push the pilot as we are not an Avaya reseller. There are Cisco phones but the users whom will be evaluating this only have Sip Avaya and legacy Avaya phones. There will be test phones in the pilot lab area but these will not be made available to the evaluation users. Maybe ip communicator phones will be available to the eval users not sure.
A remote cucme site does have h323 peer to Clan / Med card on the Avaya switch so 4 digit dial works both ways is currently in use but that brings nothing to the pilot.

We are thinking to have CUC for store with Single inbox integrated to exchange 2010, Avaya system will get mwi and so will Cisco test phones in the lab and have Jabber client but call control of Avaya sip phones is where we fall short. I don't see how that could work. Lync</pre>

For example

<pre>Quick question on this older problem, had a 7816-I4 go read only
today. I know there are other causes for this also...

The current FW update CD is 3.6.6, FW CD 3.01 was ran on this awhile back also.

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-12955

My question is how does one really verify the current hard drive
firmware version on the 7816-I4? This is on unity connection system
and a CUCM 8.0.x system.

'show hardware' doesn't report hard drive fw version numbers for
7816-I4, unlike some other models.

I went into BIOS System Information screen like FN and support
document covers but that screen doesn't report firmware version
either. No where in BIOS does it report it or boot up screens from
watching the boot process a few times. So those docs seem to be not be
accurate.

I did the create hardware report at console on unity and looked at the
output files and it just has 02.0 as the Revision number also.
