I am using:

Kexi, Version 2.2.2 (KOffice 2.2.2), Using KDE Development Platform
4.5.3 (KDE 4.5.3)

And I want to export my tables but the "export data to file" command is
de-lited. It cannot be clicked on.

How then can I export the table - what must I do??

Thanks,

Satyam

wishes.

At http://community.kde.org/Calligra/File_a_bug_or_wish#Reporting_new_bugs_or_wishes
bug reporting links have been provided for Calligra applications and
for Kexi specifically there are also predefined queries for your
convenience:

* all Kexi bugs
* all not closed bugs for Kexi
* all Kexi bugs marked as LATER
* all Kexi wishes

You can also vote for selected bugs or wishes if you want to provide
feedback this way.

Hi,

I backed up my database before ubuntu ubgrade which did an upgrade on
postgreql (8.3 to 8.4) in the process.

I restored the project to the new version. All the kexi tables appear
to be there. But we get this error message when connecting from Kexi

I backed up using pg_dump with the -C switch so just fed the resultant
file back through psql and all the tables were recreated and populated.

I am sure this is a 'user' issue, what do I need to get access from
Kexi back?

Also, importantly, what did I do wrong?

(can't find previous queries on this, I searched Kexi on Mail-Archive
with this error message).

Hi,

Last time I wrote we weren't there, now we are and I have
upgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10 and have Kexi 2.2.2 running.

(See thread started by Swarup 24 March 2011) "How to add a column to
table in Kexi 1.1.3?).

My databases were created using Kexi 1. Would I be right in suspecting
that there are incompatibilities with these and Kexi 2 and that I
will have to create a new database using Kexi 2 ?

We can connect and view data in the main database table and queries but
the original data entry form is no-go. In Data view we get a page
layout of 'KexiDBAutoField's but no data. In Design view I see no
fields in the Property Editor and thus no way of assigning fields to
the display, or even of creating a new form.

The following is given in the Property Editor.
"No datasource can be assigned for this widget"
so it looks like it does not read from the existing.

Whether I look at my main postgresql database or one created in SqLite
the situation is the same.

thanks if you can point me in the right dire

Hi!

I want to make a contacts database with none, one or more journal entries

and libreoffice calc from debian package 1:3.3.3-4+b1. Although I came a bit
farer with libreoffice calc I want to use Kexi for its quick startup time
and slick interface. Libreoffice calc looks quite cumbersome and bloated to
me.

My results from Kexi have been so far:

I have been able to create two tables - one for contacts and one for the
journal entries - with the necessary fields as well as a nice form for
entering contacts.

But I am stuck at how to create the relation ship between the two tables.
I would like to create a one to many relationship between contact and
journal, so that a contact can have many journal entries related to
him/her. I would like to see all journal entries of one contact on his
contact form and be able to add new ones as well as delete old ones.

I also found that Kexi tells me that it deletes table data when I add

of plugins).

I updated requirements details, in particular please read about
