A new version of tapestry-resteasy has been released.
It's a small update with just two little but important improvements.

Improvements:
[TYNAMO-204] - Support defining resources by interfaces in autodiscovery package
[TYNAMO-205] - Support for resteasy-3.x

We are getting ready for JAX-RS 2.0 (JSR-339)

Cheers.

I'd like to use tapestry-resteasy with resteasy 3.0-beta-3

Is it possible to make separate release for it?

It requires minor API changes but will not be compatible with resteasy 2.x.

Here's issue with proposed patch:

Hi,

I have a problem defining resource by interface, getting the following
exception:

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: Class x.y.z.rest.CompanyResource
does not contain a public constructor needed to autobuild.

at org.apache.tapestry5.ioc.internal.ServiceResourcesImpl$4.invoke(
ServiceResourcesImpl.java:153)

Caused by:

at org.apache.tapestry5.ioc.internal.ServiceResourcesImpl.autobuild(
ServiceResourcesImpl.java:170)

at org.tynamo.resteasy.ResteasyModule.javaxWsRsCoreApplication(
ResteasyModule.java:68)

I guess this is because ResteasyModule uses ObjectLocator.autobuild(Class)
which requires public constructor at class, but possibly should
be ObjectLocator.getService(Class)?

Can anybody confirm declaring resources by interfaces actually work with
tapestry-resteasy?
Or am I missing something?

I'm using tapestry 5.3.6 with tapestry-resteasy 0.3.0.

I recently checked out head rev and qa'ing it.

I noticed the palette is not functional.

I have numerous items in the left side... specifically roles and permissions.

But when I select, the double click or add button refuse to be enabled and are disabled.

Is this a security issue ?

Or has this component regressed some how.

I am pleased with the latest evolution of the code base.

Looking for your best.

Please try it out and let me know if you run into any issues.

tapestry security : Login url redirect disregards application context

Has anyone run into an issue, where shiro (via tapestry-security) would
redirect an un-authenticated ajax request to the value specified in
SecuritySymbols.LOGIN_URL; however, it would disregard the application's
context ?

The example scenario goes like this :

1. Open up a browser, navigate to a page that can submit something over
ajax.
2. Open up a separate browser tab, click to logout link to log out.
3. In the first window, submit the ajax form.

As a result of these actions, my browser attempts to open up the path I
specified to tapestry-security (e.g. /pub/login); however, it attempts to
do so on the root context of the web app (e.g.
http://localhost:8080/pub/login) instead of in the actual application
context (e.g. http://localhost:8080/my-app/pub/login). Expectedly,
attempting to open /pub/login (in the root context) returns a 404.

Refreshing the page from step #1 correctly redirects the user to the
context login page (e.g. http://localhost:8080/my-app/pub/login).

Any thoughts of why this might be

Hi Guys.

I'm using tapestry security 0.4.6 with tapestry 5.3.4.

I'm experiencing issues where it looks like requests not being saved before
redirecting user to login.
After successful login then I attempt to get the saved request so the user
can continue.

I believe I've configured according to docs.

security question

Hi Folks,

I implemented my own login component and page and it is dispatching into my hibernate URL fine.
For my website though... its kinda like ldap... if your credentials dont exist, i create an entity automatically in the database.

I noticed that if I attempt to operate the root hostname:port or just launch http://localhost:8080 using localuser/local... it gains entry using the default tapestry-security regardless of my own custom implemented component/page.

Is there a way to prevent this? It seems kinda like a back door into the web site using default security module regardless of what I rigged up for URL's ... or didnt rig up for URL's in my appmodule .java

Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks
Ken

[routing] Using < at >At annotation in modules

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to use tapestry-routing < at >At annotation in a submodule. But
it is not working at all.

An example:
I've got a module called ipsadmin, and on it AppModule class (IoC) I
contribute the components and pages with:

For page class /add/CityAdd I've got < at >At(value = "/admin/city/new", order =
"before:add")

Therefore, when I go to http://localhost:8080/myapp/admin/add/city or
http://localhost:8080/myapp/admin/add/cityadd everything goes fine and the
page is displayed.

But, when I try to go to http://localhost:8080/myapp/admin/city/new (which
was specified with < at >At) the following error appears:

 - org.apache.tapestry5.ioc.internal.OperationException
Exception assembling root component of page collections/ListC: Component
collections/ListC:layout does not include a formal parameter 'subMenuBlock'
