BTW, in you website you have posted :
July 15, 2005. Porsche Engineering developed a version of Thinlet
based on MIDP. The source is available here.

Looks like the source is not complete.

Thanks

     I am newbie for Thinlet. Created a sample application and connect
to HSQLDB. My question is

How do we add rows in XUI table dynamically when we retrieve n numbers
of rows from database.

My guess work is 1. Dynamically generate XML and pass it to thinlet
parser
or.
  Can we work on Java object level like addRow with columns.

Thanks

    <description>Silly question... I must be brain-dead today...

If Thinlet extends Canvas, how do I add a canvas to do some of my own
graphics? I use ThinG as a UI generator and it won't allow me to add a
Canvas, only panels, trees, comboboxes, etc. This has to be a
no-brainer...

Thanks,

Bret

    <title>How can I dynamically set the action property in code ?</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.java.thinlet.user/2030</link>
    <description>I am trying to build a contextual menu using the popupmenu. I am able
to add new menuitem dynamically to it. But I can't find how to set the
action property.

Object popUpMenu = find(tree, "NavigationPopupMenu");

Object menuItem = create("menuitem");
                setString(menuItem, "name", "editMetadata");
                setString(menuItem, "text", "Edit Metadata");

                setString(menuItem, "action",
"showEditImageMetadataDialog");
                add(popUpMenu, menuItem );
&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;

the setString(..., "action" ... ); line breaks with the following error
stack trace when it is executed.

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: method
at thinlet.Thinlet.getDefinition(Unknown Source)
at thinlet.Thinlet.setString(Unknown Source)
at com.somecompany.PluginMockUp.refreshPopUp(PluginMockUp.java:94)
...

Does anybody have an idea on this ?

thanks

    <description>Hello,

   Let us know if anyone has any news about the Thin UI project. See
https://thinui.dev.java.net for details. If I don't get any
comfirmation that the project is still alive and isn't more than an
empty shell I will remove all references to the Thin UI project.

   If anyone knows other Thinlet springoffs, please let us know.

    <title>Thinlet question</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.java.thinlet.user/2022</link>
    <description>I am new to thinlet and have created a very basic application using
thinlet. I starting playing with thinlet about 1 year ago but did not
dive in to deep. I was also looking at other tools such as droplets
and xaml. I would like to know how active is the Thinlet project
itself as well as how large is the user community? Are there other
projects that achieve the same goal with larger developer communities?
I have also read posts about the need for some refactoring to the
Thinlet project and not have a single large class. Is this underway?
