<pre>Hi all,

Although a long-time Palm DateBk addict, I only joined today.

Before I detail my problem for which I hope someone here may have a solution, let me give you my specific context, in the event that it is important for finding an answer.

I used to use Datebk on my Palm III, then switched to a Handera. After the Handera stopped being supported, and Palm went the way you all know, I switched to an iPhone. But couldn't live without DateBk (or HandyShopper, for that matter)! To get Datebk back, I had to jailbreak the iPhone to install the Palm emulator by StyleTap. And that is currently the setup that I am using -- a jailbroken iPhone 3G running iOS 3.1.3, StyleTap v.0.9.013 (the latest), and Datebk6.1b, s2.

Until recently, I used an older version of Datebk6. When StyleTap released their current better version, I also updated my Datebk6 to the latest version.

I'm now trying to figure out two things:

A) Why an appointment formatted to appear in bold and red will pretend to be bold and red while I'm wor</pre>

<pre>Hello CESD,

I periodically write asking the (same) following question...... Would you please consider writing DateBk for iOS5 (iPhone and iPad) and Pimlical for MacOS Lion? I was a long time user of DateBk on a Palm TX and since switching to my iPhone and iPad have not been able to find a comparable calendar program. My home and office are all Mac all the time....MacBook Pro, MacBook, MacBook Air, iPad 1, iPad 2 and two iPhone 4s. I hope your position has softened since I last wrote....please tell me you are considering adding OS to your stable of products. Thanks for your time and consideration.

<pre>I get very good results on my T3s with Resco Backup Pro on SD card for some years. It also work good on the NVFS devices (T5, TX, LD).

On the same device it can backup / restore really everything very fast (some 5 / 3 Minutes for about 25 MB) - unlike HotSync, which is very slow and can't restore everything and and some other Backup software (UniCMD).

On another device of the same type i only have to restore seperately device dependant data and registration codes and do something more, when i change the Bluetooth name, e.g. recreate authorized devices, reenter VersaMail passwords.

With NVBackup i have no experiences.

<pre>Just curious is anyone here has more than one device, and, 'rotates usage' ?

as I have more than one TX, I'm thinking of starting to 'alternate' which
device to use on say monthly basis (equalize wear and tear, backup, etc)

I'm trying to assess what the best way that won't bite me at unexpected
moment, in case someone here has some take on this, pls let me know

- sync 1st device, reset 2nd device, sync from PC/Desktop, accept userid

- NVBackup backup 1st device to SD, restore 2nd device from SD card

what other path ?
if anyone uses or used any such, please share tips and dos/don'ts

main use: DateBk, Hours, MyChequebook, Snapper, pFuel

I don't want to be able to use both 'simultaneously'

(the other day, my 'Hours' application 'malfunctioned', probably 1st time
ever that I've seen Hours 'play up', so I thought I should make better use
of hardware that I have....)

<pre>I tried to use DBFixit to check some files used by application 'Hours',

when I load DBFixit/Other/Database, I can see all BUT one of Hours files,
identified by CretaorID 'HRSH', the one I would like to check,
'month-HRSH-DB', doesn't show up

in FileProg, it shows up as 'Month-HRSH-DB' type 'MONT'
all other Hours files are type 'DATA'

is it the 'type' (type=MONT) designation that hides it from DBFixit ?

hmmm, I wonder if I can try altering type...? and, will that make it
visible/check-able by DBFixit ?

as far I know, from past experience, file 'month' holds various global
paramters for the application

any pointers ?

I'll try altering 'type' to 'data' (once I copy it over to a spare Palm
unit first) and, see what happens...

<pre> Hi all ;-) Another little question. All features in the Palm OS
release are now in the Android release or are there some differences ?
Have a nice day.

Thierry.

Datbk6 on Android

<pre> Hi everybody. I've seen that it's possible now to use Datebk6 on
Android phones :-) The new year is marvellous :-)
I just want to know if there is a way to jump from a Palm to an Android,
and to directly install on the Android phone all datas and all
preferences which are on the Palm device.
Thanks in advance.
Thierry, old Datebk user...

<pre>How far back in time can Week Calendar go? Can I sync, and search, a decade's worth of past calendar data to it?
