<pre>Hello Conduit Developers,

I just started using amazon like S3 Cloud Storage (provider :
hosteurope). It seems to me being a cheap and handy way to backup or
share data. Unfortunately the available Linux tools are not really
satisfying to me. As I'm having used conduit for longer, I really would
appreciate having S3 as DataProvider available in conduit.
Unfortunatelly I'm not a bit of a software developper but I saw there
has been work on S3 DataProvider. Is this still available? How can I get
it? Is there any experience with it?

Best Regards

<pre>Hello,

I am trying to setup Conduit to sync files and folders between my
Netbook and my PC, however when I create a Folder -&gt; Network link on the
netbook, a "On netbook.local" menu appears on the netbook, but not the
PC. Then when I try to create a Folder -&gt; Network link on my PC, on the
Netbook it appears, but again nothing appears on the PC.

Then if I create the sync with PC (Folder &lt;-&gt; Network) and Netbook
(Folder (on PC) &lt;-&gt; Folder), it fails to move data across, it just
creates odd file: directories.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

<pre>OK, this is still baffling me...

What I want to do is to get a folder on my desktop that can be sync'd
with my laptop and my Nokia N800 over my local LAN. Here is what I
have done so far:

1. Install conduit on all relevant machines.
2. Set up a network sync for the desired folder
a. Under 'Files and Folders' in Conduit drag the folder to the
canvas area.
b. Right click and configure folder to share.
c. Under 'Misc' drag 'Network' to canvas area, associate with
the folder from above. Set to do 2 way synchronization.
d. On second machine get the network folder (listed in second
machine under the sharing machine's name in the left window
pane) and drag to canvas area.
e. Drag folder from 'Files and Folders' to canvas and associate
with the network sharing folder. Configure for two way sync.
3. Hit Synchronize All on the desktop.
4. Hit Synchronize all on the laptop.

Basically I get nothing or, sometimes a folder appears on the laptop
called ':file/' and it has a subfolder in it called 'tmp'.

but I am having trouble getting it installed on my Nokia N800. I have
seen where people have gotten it to work on a N900 so I suspect it is
possible on the N800 too.

I got the file and python dependancies from
here: https://garage.maemo.org/frs/?group_id=909&amp;release_id=2500

When I try to install any of the files I get an error: "Unable to

Anyone else trying to install this on a Nokia tablet device and
having this problem? What does this error mean? Is it fixable?

<pre>Hi,

I was looking at Conduit source code for sftp support, I simply get it working
using a two way folder sync but I found in conduit/platform/FileGio.py &lt; at &gt; line 10
the following stuff : SCHEMES = ("file://","http://","ftp://","smb://")

What does this involve for sftp support ?

My other question was about auto-mounting of network drives. During
some tests, I
used some remote folders through smb://. When I don't browse the folder with
nautilus, I get a "Not Configured" in the Folder in the right view of Conduit.
I also noticed when I want to configure the Folder in the Gui, that it get
auto-mounted by Conduit.

Why there is no auto-mounting while using any action on remote folders.

ANNOUNCE: Conduit 0.3.17

<pre>Hey Everyone!

I am proud to announce that Conduit 0.3.17 is now available for download from:
* http://download.gnome.org/sources/conduit/0.3/

First release in too long!

What is it?
===========
Conduit is a synchronization application for GNOME. It allows you to
synchronize your files, photos, emails, contacts, notes, calendar data
and any other type of personal information and synchronize that data
with another computer, an online service, or even another electronic
device.

Conduit manages the synchronization and conversion of data into other formats.
For example, Conduit allows you to;
* Synchronize your Tomboy notes with another computer
* Synchronize your your PIM data to your mobile phone, iPod,
Nokia Internet tablet, or between computers
* Upload photos to Flickr, Picasa, SmugMug, ShutterFly and your iPod,
* ... and many more

Any combination you can imagine, Conduit will take care of the conversion
and synchronization.

Where can I find out more?

SQLite database. I am wonderin how I can reuse/integrate with Conduit
for "import/export" to webservices functionality? I saw that there is
a DBus API to interact with Conduit, but is there a plan to provide a
library of widgets that I can embed in my application?

I like your Conduit project.
And I would like to use it to synchronize my addresses.
But I'm still missing some features. Especially useful to me would be a
way to merge records, because my phone only supports a subset of the
VCard standard. Are there any plans to implements this yet?

I'm also experienced in programming python and could contribute some
code on my own.

<pre>Hi,

I'm here again with more doubts :-)

I'm having a problem that I'm quite sure is because I'm doing
something wrong. When I synchronize two folders (one-way), and using "always
in sync", if I delete some element from the second folder it doesn't get
restored automatically. If I add some element to the first one I can see it
appear in the second quickly, and if I delete something in the first one it
also disappears in the second; but deleting an element from the second folder
makes it gone forever, even if it's still present in the first, and I'm
wondering why.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this the expected behaviour? If so,
why?

Thanks in advance.
