to not to send change notification to the personwho made the change?

I receives email notification for every modification even the ones made
by me. This is really an efficiency killer because most than half of the
events on our mantis installation are because I did something, as I am
responsible for issue tracking.

Is there a way to not to send change notification to the person who made
the change? I checked email notification configuration page where only
listed what to notify to whom, with "report", "assignee", "note maker"
... as "who" but not including "the person triggered the notification"
in the 'who' list.

Or can I solve the problem by modifying config php code? Or is it solved
in the latest version? I am using 1.0.8.

Thanks in advance. Searched on the forum before post.

Hello Peeps, im quite new to mantis. I am considering it for my company as an issue tracker.

I want to add a Custom Field called 'fixed at revision' for the developers to complete when an issue is completed. I set this value to 'Numerical' but i entered the string 'ret' as a test and it accepted it. Is this a bug or am i missing something?

Thank you!

Windows 2003 server
Apache 2.2.9
Php 5.2.6

I try to play with Mantis/Svn integration,
It works as expected with ascii log,
but I get an error if the string sent to checkin.php contains an accent (like 'é')

After some googleizations, I think it is due to svnadmin output, witch is converted to OEM charset.

See what is sent in attached [mantisnote_r81.txt] (where 'é' is replaced with a comma) and what is returned in attached [mantis.log].

Here follows some snippets from my config:

Hi

I'm still using 1.1.2, not yet the new 1.2.

The issues in the my view boxes are sorted after date. Is there a
possibility to define a custom filter, e.g. after priority? The settings
from the view all page are not applied on the my view page.

If this is not changeable with a setting (I don't think it is), how
should the code be changed to either hack a sorting fixed in the
code or create a new config setting for the sorting?

Could this problem be solved with the new 1.2 version? Maybe with
a plugin?

Thanks

bye Fabi

Customizing view states

I need to customize the view states for bugs and bug notes in Mantis.
The short version is that we need three levels: public (viewers can
view), protected (<developer can view) and private (>=developer can
view).

This is also the reason why I need to implement http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=9427
and my note in http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=9427 .

Customizing this field hasn't proved as easy as I thought. I have it
working pretty much as a I need now, but I would like to make it
better. It seems that the public/private values are hard-coded
throughout Mantis, which makes sense as only nutters like me and my
coworkers would need different functionality.

Is there interest in this functionality? I'd be happy to take it up.
The only catch is that I need to have it working by the end of August
and I'm guessing that 1.2 won't be out by then, making it necessary to
do in 1.1.2.

Cheers,

-J.

I've upgraded a pre- 1.x.x Mantis installation to 1.1.2, using
the upgrade method described on

http://www.mantisbt.org/manual/manual.installation.upgrading.php

since I had trouble upgrading MySQL on that (SPARC) host I went to
http://yoursite/mantis-release/admin/upgrade.php
dumped the database and imported the result on a new
(Linux) host in a fresh Mantis install.

I used the below method

create backup:
mysqldump --opt -u<username> -p<password> <database name> > <backup file>
restore backup:
mysql --force -u<username> -p<password> <database name> < <backup file>

to dump and import the database. I had to manually drop the database
in the new installation of Mantis, and installed it from the dump with
--force.

The database contents were fully preserved, as far as I can see.

Unfortunately, I'm still getting problems, e.g.

APPLICATION ERROR #401

Database query failed. Error received from database was #1146: Table 'bugtracker.mantis_email_table' doesn't exist for the query: INSERT INTO mantis_email_t

Bug Assignment during bug creation

I am trying to fine tune mantis such that, the bugs can be assigned to
specific users while creating the bug, rather than creating the bug and
then assigning it to particular user later. Is this possible in mantis?

Hi

Is it possible to assign a user to a project so that he can update
(add comments) an issue but cannot create a new one? Do I need
to create a new access rights level like "UpdaterButNotReporter"?

Thanks

bye Fabi
