Hello,

So far we had no one who takes care of updating the web pages in the German community.
Meanwhile, a new volunteer has, with Piotr, found that makes this work. However, Piotr needs help commit himself so far that he is not a committer.

Rob had already commits recently (http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/openoffice-dev/201306.mbox/%3cCAP-ksoh5=eJqq1vCbeQFYou8CzEH4s=Soh5GQTmVoSwxqWVQGg< at >mail.gmail.com%3e), but currently stocking the work of Piotr because no one commits.

We have already discussed the changes on the German mailing list, so maybe Raphael, Oliver Juergen or are ready to take on the commit?
*In general, we need the next time relatively much support during committing as many websites need to be updated.*

Currently, the following changes should be committed properly to Piotr already at 10.06. had received:

Hello,

I'm working on the XActiveDataSink.
I'm slightly confused about how to handle OpenCommandArgument2.Sink .
The object is the one which is filled with the XActiveDataSink object for
which I have to set the InputStream by calling setInputStream() and pass
the XInputStream implementation.
This is what I have understood. But, the confusing thing is why is the
datatype for Sink - Object? Shoudnt it be XActiveDataSink? I'm not
understanding how to handle this Sink.

I would like to contribute as projects like this only work when there are willing helpers.

Unfortunately I'm a silver surfer with virtually no knowledge of how programs work, I can generally work out how to use them, sometimes in unusual ways.

I wrote a book on lacemaking full of diagrams and photos using Word 2000 and my publisher had no idea how I did it, 'All about making- Geomtrical Bucks Point Lace' www.alexstillwell.wordpress.com I have others also listed on the website and I have given one to the Arizona University Library for free download because the demand is too small for a reprint but there are those who wish to have access to the material.

If I can be of any help please let me know. I have just finished a book and as I do not have another in mind I have time available.

Best wishes to all

Hi,

we have a list of showstopper issues where the showstopper flag is
already requested and we are working on reviewing this list.

If there are new critical issues that come up during further testing or
whatever please report an discuss them here on the list. We have to
prioritize and can't fix all. There always issues that are critical for
certain users but we can't fix all in time.

Critieria for real showstopper issues

- data loss
- crashes
- regressions compared to AOO 3.4.1

We can and will discuss the issues on demand but again we have to
prioritize and will focus on the most critical issues that affect most
users.

[RELEASE]: proposal for an update of the AOO 4.0 release schedule

Hi,

I tried to get an overview where we are with our AOO 4.0 release and I
have thought about an updated release plan. I hope you share my view on
this updated plan and you will continue to help that we can achieve it.

First of all I am still thinking that we should release the 4.0 as soon
as possible and before the majority will take a break and go in summer
holidays. And with a potential second release later this year in mind I
believe July is the best time.

We are a little bit behind my proposed schedule that we can't hold under
the current circumstances. It's ok, we worked hard, did a lot of
testing, work on translation and things moved forward. But when I take a
look on the list of proposed show stoppers and the not yet integrated
help for the sidebar and the translation, I believe we should adapt our
release plan to take the current situation and status into account.

I see the following work items that we have to complete before or in
parallel to the vote of an RC:

- sidebar help

Module cui - Add new color

Hi all,

This patch "registrodom.patch":

This code snippet allows Auto Registration the colors to Apache OpenOffice
Drawing , ie the self-colored. Through this patch allows the user to add new
colors in the color palette without entering a name.

If the color name already exists, it is automatically assigned a number to
the name, eg

open
open4509
open0267
open8160
open1094 ...

This code I've been working in the module cui (file: tpcolor.cxx). I would
like that the community to help implement this code in AOO.

The Auto Registration of colors: I think an excellent idea as draw
integrated this functionality in AOO and allow the user to add new colors
without many's restrictions, this process could be done more quickly and
efficiently. No doubt it would be very useful in my humble opinion.

Best Regards.

The methods readBytes and readSomeBytes have an argument Byte[][] .

But shouldn't it be Byte[] ? because java.io.InputStream reads to a byte[]?
What is the point of having a byte [][]?

This example also suggests this:

They copy the ans to buffer[0] in buffer[][].

XRowUpdate has a few methods like update<Type>(int columnindex, <type>

This is similar to "setPropertyValues" command. Should these command be

Sorry for my bad English.

Well, I am changing the entire database from access to open office base.

The tables and forms were all done easily, but I´m having difficulty
changing the user interface.

At the MS Access I just configured the start form at properties. Here in OO
Base I used a macro…. SOLVED

At the MS Access I copied from the internet a macro to block everything,
except the form I want to be loaded at startup. Using this way,

The users can insert data by the form, but can not acess the entire content.

Can you help me setting it up?

The help can be a tutorial, a script, a macro, or else.

I junt want to make private and safe the content of the forms.

Thank you very much!!

update (6/10 - 6/14):

*Test execution:*
1. Testing of upgrading/updating a former AOO/OOo's version - Done and
Passed
2. Acceptance testing on stlport change on Win7/Mac/RHEL/Ubuntu platforms
- Done and accepted, with none of the opening defects found from this
testing, is introduced by stlport. However, it needs development's
confirmation.
*
Defect summary:*
1. 4.0.0 release blocker candidate defects are under reviewing, the total
number is 66 now (original is 90)
2. Redhat specific defect with 64-bit Java, Bug 122485 ([Crash]OOO crash

1. Need to cover silent installation testing on Windows as it is not
included in previous testing
2. The triage of bugs for AOO 4.0.0 release blockers is ongoing.
3. QAs are reminded to retest the failed/blocked test executions as the
defects get fixed

Hello,

on July 25-28 there is a great event in Bilbao (Basque Country).

http://www.euskal.org/en/

A friend of mine is organizing a booth to promote Free Software there.

Are there any flyers or posters in spanish language or basque?

Because he is travelling from the Rhine Area, I need them until July 1st.

It would be great, if people from our community can join the booth (or
make an own) on this event.

Please contact me in that case.

Regards

Michael
