See, for example,
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Audie_Murphy&diff=560382883&oldid=560374610
- the line "ad a private-pilot license and" (image description) is clearly
being taken from the article text "had a private-pilot license and a reported
8, 000 hours of flying time", but I have no idea how.

Hidden templates, like Template:Use British English, are displaying as carriage
returns. These are pretty easy to mistakenly identify as typos or errors and
delete. We need a better way of displaying those within the VE, or (as a
long-term goal) a better way of surfacing metadata, a la the "page settings"
page.

I hope mw.wikibase.getEntity("Q535") and mw.wikibase.getProperty("p20")
* Even exactly mw.wikibase.getProperty("p20", "Q535") which return a string or
nil,
* and where the element code is not necessary inside a page-element,
* and where it permits to document the module or the templates elsewhere out of
their spaces, and to build genealogies or species classifications.

other : Now Lua modules work in fr.wikisource, but mw.wikibase.getEntity() do
not works. Thanks in advance. I am Rical in wikis.

Pages about persons where age is calculated automatically are saved in the
cache until the next cache purge or the page change happens. Calculated value
of the age is also saved.

After the date of birth of a person passes the saved age does not change.

Example: Paul McCartney has birthday on 18.06.1942. His wiki page was edited
before 18.06.2013 and his age of 70 was saved in cache (which is correct). Then
after 18.06.2013 no one changed his page or invalidated cache, that's why his
age was 70 while it had to be 71 (which is not correct).

Notes: This can happen for all pages with calculated age. Possible, other
calculated fields are also affected.

Possible solution: invalidate cache on some conditions met. For example,
invalidate the cache of Paul McCartney's page on 18.06 of every year by
settings Expires header.

Tracking bug; the VisualEditor doesn't seem to work in IE8 (this may be a
feature as well as a bug). I'm going to recommend that people upgrade, and mark
this as an enhancement, but: it would be nice to have an official statement on
if this is coming, if so, when, if not, why, etc.

Totally new wiki with all default setting.

Set $wgVectorFeatures['expandablesearch']['global'] = true; but nothing
happened. I believe this function broked for more than two years. If it can't
be repaired, why don't we delete it from the code at all?

Is there a way to integrate the terms in Mediawiki to a 3rd party software that
checks for terminology consistency in documents

We are thinking about Acrolinx,
http://www.acrolinx.com/terminologymanagement.html , but we haven’t implemented
it yet.
This application is used to ensure consistency of usage, not to provide the
definitions.
I envision Acrolinx getting the list of words to check from the glossary we are
creating or at least us having the option to export the list to Excel or CSV so
we can import it into Acrolinx.
We provide the content for online help in the SIS applications so I don’t think
it is feasible security-wise for the words to link back to Mediawiki.
One possibility, though would be for us to develop the glossary in XML and have
Mediawiki use the same XML files as we use for its source.
Speaking of that, what IS the best way to provide the content to Mediawiki
without having to type it all in?

A Error image

Sorry the bad english.

I have installed on my PC, Windows 8, apache and php 3.5.25.
I downloaded version 1.21.1 mediawiki twice to rule out problems with the
download.

I get PHP error "ReflectionException" to access the mediawiki installer. This
error persists even after the configuration is done completely and
successfully. It does not prevent system operation, but beyond uncomfortable as
can be seen in the attached image, prevents full use out of the fact that it
would be ridiculous to let this message online.

Agradesco any help.

From bug 49720 comment 7.

To deploy faster to all users, needs a Last-Modified header. Right now browsers
are told to basically cache it unconditionally so nobody will get the new
content until their cache is manually purged.

We want to re-enable NavigationTiming on Beta, not because it specifically
needs testing, but mainly to reduce the Labs/prod divide in the interests of
continual regression testing.

This will require some fiddling with the *-labs.php files and may cause some
temporary Mobile breakage.

I've tried compiling HHVM on Vagrant with both Windows and Linux as the host
system (in case it mattered). However, I'm running into the following error
when it tries to compile the memcached extension:

This only occurs on Vagrant, and not on regular Ubuntu 12.04 VMs. I think it
may have something to do with the package configuration, but I'm not sure.

It would be nice to have the number of users having edited in between as a
variable for [[MediaWiki:Revreview-update]]. This way we could add a notice
when multiple users have edited, it would be more visible than the info at
[[MediaWiki:Diff-multi]], and save time for reviewers.
