Last chance to test hop-2.3.0

Dear Friends,

It is now time to release hop-2.3.0, the first stable version of the 2.3.x
branch. The last test version is currently available on the Hop ftp repository.
Unless someone spots a sever problem in the coming days, that version will
be officially release by Friday noon.

We're preparing to release Bigloo 3.8a for our Fedora distribution,
and currently our stand-alone scheme2js package (we've not switched to
packaging Hop yet) does not build against this new Bigloo release.

When trying to check out the Hop repository (to find a more up-to-date
scheme2js) I noticed that the Mercurial repository announced on the
HOP community page -- http://hop.inria.fr/#home-notepad=np:7 -- no
longer works.

Is there a new repository address somewhere (and the page is out of
date) or is the repository currently down?

I have some applications that rely on http-request-user.

error from hop wizard

Hi all.

I am trying to use hop and bigloo from 2012-01-18.
Installation went smoothly.

Then, I try to setup hop as follows:
1.
start hop as a normal user:

fire up a browser (Konqueror 4.7.2):

I enter the sections for admin, user, and guest (3 users in total).
When I press "Save", the browser presents the following server error:

I'm going through the tutorials but I have yet to grasp how easy it is

hop 2.2.1 cannot find libhop_es-2.2.1.so

it is inside /usr/local/lib/ so i couldn't understand why it has
problem running.

This is what I get when I run hop.

  I am trying the latest hop-2.2.1 with the latest bigloo 3.7a-2 with
gcc32 (IA32) on x86_64 machine. Here is what I get if I browse to
http://localhost:8080/hop/hz.

Problems with Hop 2.2.1 on Mac OSX PPC

I have tried to install the newest hop version (2.2.1)
on my (old) PowerBook G4 running macosx 10.5.8.

First, I have compiled and installed Bigloo 3.7a:
Because of compilation problem I have installed gc from macports.
Here are my configure options:
configure --prefix=/Users/nik/Applications/bigloo3.7a --jvm=yes --bee=full
--enable-threads --os-macosx
--emacs=/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs --customgc=no
--gcprefix=/opt/local

Because of linking problem with gc (library not found!)
I have created a symbolic link in /usr/lib pointing to gc
in /opt/local/lib.

Next, I have installed hop 2.2.1 with ssl enabled.

On my archlinux box (64bit) they (hop 2.2.1 + bigloo 3.7a)
do work without any problems.

Am I missing something here?
Are these maybe known problems on macosx ppc platform?
