    <title>Is ISP1362 supported?</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.devel/60956</link>
    <description>I've been asked if an NXP ISP1362 controller is supported. During my
research I became a bit confused. There are lots of mails in the
archives talking about 1362 support, many of them 3 years old. But in
current mainline I only see isp116x-hcd.c. Does it also support
isp1362? Or is it supported by another driver? Or not at all?

Thanks,
Hans

:usb_storage:usb_stor_access_xfer_buf+0xde is the first pointer
dereference in an inlined call to sg_page().

static inline struct page *sg_page(struct scatterlist *sg)
{
#ifdef CONFIG_DEBUG_SG
        BUG_ON(sg-&gt;sg_magic != SG_MAGIC);
        BUG_ON(sg_is_chain(sg));
#endif
        return (struct page *)((sg)-&gt;page_link &amp; ~0x3);
}

Turning on CONFIG_DEBUG_SG didn't make much difference, because the "sg"
pointer itself is NULL. Thus, it segfaulted before BUG_ON was actually
called.

This hardware worked fine with 2.6.23.12... though my kernel config is
rather different from that one. Before I start digging and trying to
work out all the details and hopefully fix it, I was wondering if you've
already seen this?

Thanks,

Mark

    <description>Hai,
  I have a question related to your PTP device driver ( Picture
Transfer Protocol ).

Can USB Still Image Capture Class driver and USB Mass Storage class
driver co- exists in the gadget?

If yes How to synchronize the calls between these two with the below
DCD (Devcie Controler Driver ), do we need a middle layer ( Core
driver like in Host side ) ?

Please let me know the solution, Thanks in advance..

I have readed "isp116x embedded programming guide" and if I haven't

Hack the isp1362 nxp open source driver for isp1161x could be another way?

Many thanks,

excuse me if I still ask help, but philips said that only 2.4.x kernel

I need to add isoc mode to the driver but I'm not know how to do this.
Any kind of suggestion is well accepted (documentation, patch,

I have an ep7312 (arm720t) with isp1161A usb host controller (very
similar things to
http://lists.arm.linux.org.uk/lurker/message/20051221.141017.c2c6745e.en.html#linux-arm-kernel).
Recently, I have ported the kernel from 2.4.21-rmk1 to 2.6.23 and all
work fine but the old isp1161 driver came from philips and it has too
many differences for the new kernel for porting to 2.6.x and this is not
seem a good solution.
So, I provide platform support code for isp116x-hcd driver and all work
fine! The only one problem is about lack isochronous transfers support:
I use that platform for costom pda that take pictures of water counters.

Now, I think two things:
- ask help to this community: is it an hard work to add isochronous
transfers support? Can someone help me?
- ask to philips for eval kit driver
I would like the first choice too because the code is better write and
more comprensible.

Many thanks,

    <description>Hoping this is the right list now - looks like linux-usb&lt; at &gt;vger is no longer
valid.

I've got a Dell wireless 5520 card with a different USB ID - specifically, 8136
instead of 8137. Attached a small patch to add support, and the output of an
'ati3'.

If we could get this in, that'd be sweet. ;) Thanks!

    <title>[PATCH][0/2] usb: sm501 ohci controller patchesV3/V2</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.devel/60873</link>
    <description>usb: sm501 ohci controller patches V3/V2

 [1/2] usb: dma bounce buffer support V3
 [2/2] usb: ohci-sm501 driver V2

The sm501 usb host controller is a regular ohci implementation but with the
exception that it can only do dma to a certain area of memory. This memory is
sm501 specific and the mfd driver for sm501 currently divides this memory
between the framebuffer and the usb host controller.

To support the sm501 usb host controller we need to allocate all usb data from
this sm501 memory. The function dma_declare_coherent_memory() helps us with
that - all dma_alloc_coherent() calls will end up allocating such memory.

The USB core does however allocate data using kmalloc, so to fully support
such a behaviour we need dma bounce buffer support. These bounce buffers
can be requested using the flag HCD_LOCAL_MEM.
