<pre>The debconf templates for this package recently changed or were added.

As a consequence, the Debian English localization team is proposing a
complete review to the maintainer.

When that review starts, another notice will be sent as a followup to
this mail, announcing the intent of one of the Debian English
localization team members to review the templates.

It is likely that such review will trigger changes to templates.

As a consequence, translation work on this package's templates is
temporarily discouraged. Rushing out to update existing translations
or adding new ones is likely to lead to more confusion than benefit.

Calls for translations will be sent as soon as the review is complete.

Thanks for your cooperation.

<pre>This is a reminder for the running translation round for debconf
templates of graphite-carbon.

Currently complete languages:
da de es fr pl ru

Currently existing but incomplete languages:

Please send out updates before Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2012, I will notify
the graphite-carbon maintainers that they can upload a new package
version.

So, if you have something being worked on, please send it as
soon as possible.

Please contact me privately if you want to obtain the PO file for
incomplete languages. The POT file can be obtained from the list
archives.

There is always a chance that a translation you or your team sent
slipped through my mail and spam filters. If you indeed send an update
as a bug report and your language is still listed here, please point
me to the bug number.

Moving the target of localization pokes (and eventually NMUs)...

<pre>With the final steps of the release of Wheezy approaching, I will, from
now on, move the focus of my l10n attention to packages that are blocking
some of the localization goals.

One of them is 100% completeness for debconf translations in wheezy
for seven languages: Czech, Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, German,
Russian and French.

As a consequence, I will now be nagging *hardly* the maintainers of
packages that are blocking this 100% completeness. These packages are
listed on the following pages:
http://www.debian.org/international/l10n/po-debconf/cs
http://www.debian.org/international/l10n/po-debconf/sv

http://www.debian.org/international/l10n/po-debconf/ru
http://www.debian.org/international/l10n/po-debconf/fr

...at the top of each page.

For most, if not all, of them, there are pending translations in the
BTS. Fortunately, all of these are recent enough, and I hope
maintainers will be reactive to my pokes (if they aren't, then NMUs
will be on their way..:-)).

<pre>As we switched to console-setup for the console keyboard settings, I
just dropped the inclusion of console-data localization statistics
from Debian Installer localization statistics.

That will remove a small burden from the shoulders of translators who
want to achieve 100% completeness for all D-I levels.

It does of course not mean that translations for console-data are
abandoned...but they're likely to be less and less used. And the
package will sooner or later be orphaned (probably after wheezy).

As we're now close to the wheezy freeze, it's time to hurry up and I
take over the duty of calling for a translation update on his behalf.

So do not translate it to these languages (the translators will be
contacted separately).

Announce of the upcoming NMU for the backuppc package

<pre>Dear maintainer of backuppc and Debian translators,

Some days ago, I sent a notice to the maintainer of the backuppc Debian
package, mentioning the status of at least one old po-debconf translation update in the BTS.

I announced the intent to build and possibly upload a non-maintainer upload
for this package in order to fix this long-time pending localization
bug as well as all other pending translations.

The package maintainer agreed for the NMU or did not respond in four
days, so I will proceed with the NMU.

The full planned schedule is available at the end of this mail.

The package is currently translated to:
cs da de es eu fi fr it ja nl pt pt_BR ru sv uk vi

Among these, the following translations are incomplete: &lt;none&gt;

If you did any of the, currently incomplete, translations you will get
ANOTHER mail with the translation to update.

Other translators also have the opportunity to create new translations
for this package. Once completed, please send them as a bug report
against the backuppc package so I can incorporate them in the build.

The deadline for receiving updates and new translations is Monday, May 28, 2012. If you
are not in time you can always send your translation to the BTS.

The POT file is attached to this mail.

If the maintainer objects to this process I will immediately abort my NMU
and send him/her all updates I receive.

Otherwise the following will happen (or already has):

Monday, May 14, 2012 : send the first intent to NMU notice to
                 the package maintainer.
Sunday, May 20, 2012 : send this notice
Monday, May 28, 2012 : (midnight) deadline for receiving translation updates
Tuesday, May 29, 2012 : build the package and upload it to DELAYED/7-day
send the NMU patch to the BTS
Tuesday, June 05, 2012 : NMU uploaded to incoming

Thanks for your efforts and time.

<pre>Dear Debian maintainer,

("oh no, not him again"...)

The xfonts-traditional Debian package, which you are the maintainer of, has
pending bug report(s) which include translation updates or fixes
for po-debconf, namely bug number 658416 (and maybe other similar bugs).

So, sorry for this, but the radar beeped at your package and here am I
with what I usually call an "NMU intent"...:-). Please take this as a "very
soft" NMU intent. Of course, there is no hurry or deadline...just
"old" bugs we think are easy to get rid of.

(not so old but in the way of full l10n completeness for some
languages in wheezy)

In case you can't update your package, I hereby propose, as part
of a more general action of the Debian i18n Task Force to build and
possibly upload a non-maintainer upload for xfonts-traditional in order to fix
this as well as all pending translations for the debconf templates.

Of course, as you're probably pretty active on that package, an upload
by you would also be OK...as long as it allows a round of translation
updates.

Such changes are always harmless, which explains why I safely consider
building NMUs for such issues even though they're obviously non critical.

The schedule for the NMU (in case it happens, that is if you agree with it
or if I don't receive any answer in 4 days) is roughly the following:

Thursday, May 17, 2012 : send this notice
Monday, May 21, 2012 : post a NMU announcement to debian-i18n with you
                 (maintainer) CC'ed
Tuesday, May 29, 2012 : deadline for receiving translation updates
Wednesday, May 30, 2012 : build the package and upload it to DELAYED/7-day
send the NMU patch to the BTS
Wednesday, June 06, 2012 : NMU reaches incoming

If you intent to upload yourself, please discuss with me. I propose
handling a translation update round and I can handle it myself for you.
That will just require a few days. That could maybe save you from
seeing me coming back again in a few months.

In case I upload an NMU, I will subscribe to the Package Tracking System for
xfonts-traditional and follow its life for 60 days after my NMU in order to fix
any issue potentially introduced by my upload.

Let me know, as soon as possible, if you have any kind of objection to this
process.

If you'd rather do the fix yourself, I will of course leave the package
alone. Same if you have reasons not to do the update now.

<pre>Dear Debian maintainer,

The nullmailer Debian package, which you are the maintainer of, has
pending bug report(s) which include translation updates or fixes
for po-debconf, namely bug number 659446 (and maybe other similar bugs).

The i18n team is now hunting the very last bits of missing localization
and your package went on our radar. You may have uploaded recently but,
unfortunately for you, you then got *another* l10n bug report.

So, sorry for this, but the radar beeped at your package and here am I
with an NMU intent...:-)

I have the intention, as part of a more general action of the Debian
i18n Task Force to build and possibly upload a non-maintainer upload
for nullmailer in order to fix this as well as all pending translations
for the debconf templates.

Of course, an upload made by you would even be better...:-)

The schedule for the NMU (in case it happens, that is if you agree with it
or if I don't receive any answer in 2 days) is roughly the following:

Tuesday, May 15, 2012 : send this notice
Saturday, May 19, 2012 : post a NMU announcement to debian-i18n with you
                 (maintainer) CC'ed
this can happen earlier if the maintainer agrees
In such case, the deadlines below will also
                 happen earlier
Sunday, May 27, 2012 : (midnight) deadline for receiving translation updates
Monday, May 28, 2012 : build the package and upload it to DELAYED/7-day
send the NMU patch to the BTS
Monday, June 04, 2012 : NMU reaches incoming

If you intent to upload yourself, please notify me so that I interrupt
the process on my side. Please also don't upload without a discussion
with me. Some translators might send a few new translations and I can handle
a round of translation updates for you. Really, don't upload silently...:-)

In case I upload an NMU, I will subscribe to the Package Tracking System for
nullmailer and follow its life for 60 days after my NMU in order to fix
any issue potentially introduced by my upload.

Let me know, as soon as possible, if you have any kind of objection to this

<pre>Hi,

we finished the last bits of the Debian Project News issue to be released
on Monday: we'd really appreciate reviews and translations.

As you can read in the file itself, there could be a couple of last minute
additions.

As usual, you can find here the draft:

Thanks to all the editors and - in advance - reviewers and translators!

Announce of the upcoming NMU for the collectd package

<pre>Dear maintainer of collectd and Debian translators,

Some days ago, I sent a notice to the maintainer of the collectd Debian
package, mentioning the status of at least one old po-debconf translation update in the BTS.

The package is currently translated to:
cs da de es fr gl ja nl pt pt_BR ru sv vi

Among these, the following translations are incomplete: &lt;none&gt;

If you did any of the, currently incomplete, translations you will get
ANOTHER mail with the translation to update.

Other translators also have the opportunity to create new translations
for this package. Once completed, please send them as a bug report
against the collectd package so I can incorporate them in the build.

The deadline for receiving updates and new translations is Sunday, May 20, 2012. If you
are not in time you can always send your translation to the BTS.

The POT file is attached to this mail.

If the maintainer objects to this process I will immediately abort my NMU
and send him/her all updates I receive.

Otherwise the following will happen (or already has):

Sunday, May 06, 2012 : send the first intent to NMU notice to
                 the package maintainer.
Saturday, May 12, 2012 : send this notice
Sunday, May 20, 2012 : (midnight) deadline for receiving translation updates
Monday, May 21, 2012 : build the package and upload it to DELAYED/7-day
send the NMU patch to the BTS
Monday, May 28, 2012 : NMU uploaded to incoming

Thanks for your efforts and time.
