<pre>Hello all,
I have been fiddling with this for a while,and my apologies if I missed how to do this.

But I have a number of jpg images, and I have a script where I pull one of these files up and it is a wallpaper after a timer ends.

*Wallpaper Show "C:\Users\Ray\Documents\graphics\favorite comics\peanuts_dogs_r_worth_it.jpg"

But I want to pull a random jpg within that folder.

I tried:
*Wallpaper Change &amp;(disk++?":\Users\Ray\Documents\Theology of the Body\")

But it keeps just showing the first in the list

Suggestions?
Thanks
Ray

I'd like to use PPro to automatically kill a specific process if it's CPU %value is going above a certain limit.
I explicitely want to kill the process, not lowering priorities or such.

can this be done with PPro?
if yes, how would I do that?
thanks

What Im trying to do is decrease a very tedious workload I have wherein I need to copy a line of numbers in Excel then paste them in a webbrowser then tab through spaces and press enter then back for another line on Excel...Id like to automate the4 entire process which is actually about 30 key strokes and totaling over 1,000 lines in Excel so you can see why it would be tedious.

ANY help at all with this would be greatly appreciated as I need to get this work done this week!!

Thanks

on pcreReplaceCallback

<pre>This message is for my understanding of the pcreReplaceCallback. I don't see how it references the search.

In a previous message I got this gentle script:

-------------
static MatchNo=0
local text = file.readall("m:/file.txt")
local p=regex.pcreMatch(?"(?m)^\#+$\K", text)
local sScript = "." ++ scriptname ++ "&lt; at &gt;callbackNumbering"
local q=regex.pcreReplaceCallback(?"(?m)^\#\K", text, sScript, "", "", p)
file.writeall("m:/filenum.txt", q)
quit

Function callbackNumbering()
static MatchNo=MatchNo+1
quit(MatchNo)
--------------

Now, I'm trying to discover how I could take profit of this pcreReplaceCallback. According to the help file:

"Replaces multiple matches of a regular expression within a subject string in accordance with a custom Powerpro script. By default the entire match is targeted for replacement, but optionally, a single substring can be targeted instead."

In my humble understanding, it means the next thing: I have a simple script:

-------------
local text = "a man told to me:\r\nonce upon a time\r\nthere was a princess\r\nand a prince\r\nin a castle"
local u = case ("upper", text)
messagebox("OK", u)
------------

Then, I try to use it in a regex operation, in this way.

----------
local text = "a man told to me:\r\nonce upon a time\r\nthere was a princess\r\nand a prince\r\nin a castle"

local sScript = "." ++ scriptname ++ "&lt; at &gt;upper"
local ch=regex.pcreReplaceCallback(?"(?&lt;=\ba\s)\w\K", text, sScript)
messagebox("OK", ch)
quit

Function upper
ch = case("upper", ch)
quit
------------

It doesn't work. It should change the first letter in the words after the article "a" but nothing changes, there is no message of error. I can't see how the result of the search is referenced, there is no "$0" or something in the first script with the variable "static MatchNo". According to my interpretation of the help file, it seems that the match is captured with no need of reference, consequently I don't understand also how to reference a substring, I suppose that "a substring" is "$1", "$3" and so on.

Note: ?"(?&lt;=\ba\s)\w\K" doesn't modifies anything, but without \K, the first letters are erased.

It works well. How could I write it without the ampersand?.

<pre>I would like to know if it is possible to make some operations inside a simple text file (*.txt) from a specific position. Something like to get all the lines begining with # or all the words according to the pattern "the (article) word (any word)"

I have found the string function find(string1,string2, start), it returns the position of a string and, besides, I am almost sure of reading that "regex.pcrematch" returns the position of a search also. When you get these positions inside the text file, can you make a "find / replace" from it until the end of the file?. Or, is it possible to make any of these operations just until this position from the begining of the text file? I don't get to find how this can be made. I don't find any function to locate a position inside a text file even if it is converted into a string using "readall".
