All of my dojo code was in one page (with modules), now I am adding a login page to my app. I am doing by first display a form on a completely new page, then sending an xhr request to my server to validate (and data from the password and user id field is in JSON format, using xhr post). Now the server replies, saying 'Ok' and it sends me a new page to go to. This is also all in JSON. So how do I make a browser to go this new page, in my Javascript callback function? That is such that the browser switches to a new URL within the same tab without user clicking on anything. And also how do I make page look 'disabled' -- while the callback has not returned? Nothing to works as expected, the documentation is poor and dojo, or at least part of it, seem to be a moving target. But I know dojo is open source so you take what you get and if you have time to complain you have time to fix the problem. And I would not have stayed with dojo unless I saw something promising there. As it turned out, one of my major problems was an add-on in Firefox. With User Agent Switcher version 0.6.11 installed I get the error "userAgentButton has no properties" when I try to run the example "A Simple Grid" in "The Book of Dojo 1.0 / Part 2: Dijit / Advanced Editing and Display / Grid (1.0)". I have also found numerous other examples where this add-on cause dojo to crash (for example when I try to log in to the dojo web site). (And, yes, I know I should have payed more attention to the error message and what it said but remember I am new to dojo and had no idea that Firefox plugins could cause problems in javascript). I posted this to give other newbies with User Agent Switcher installed a chance and to ask if there are other similar known problems with Firefox or any other browser that I should know. /Fredric PS. I have some cells that are editable and some cells that are not editable. I want a row to go edit mode where ever it is double clicked, so I catch the double click event and invoke edit.start(e.cellIndex, e.rowIndex, true), on the row and cell that was double clicked. But since not all cells are editable an exception is thrown when a cell that is not editable is double clicked. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this? Is extending the ItemFileReadStore the way to go or is there an easier way to do what I want? If i have to implement the query option what would be the best practice kind of way to do so?
