Hi,
I am frequently forced to create scripts to change the current document open in BF. These scripts are for single use.
I need a script to increment. a script to decrement. a script to add three, a script to multiply by 1.5.
This is true for digital functions but also for many other functions very uncomplicated.
If it were possible to have a tool 'filter with args' it would change my life.

the manual in the wiki has quite a few deprecated pages, such as the
"installing bluefish" pages. The table of contents is, therefore, crowded
with irrelevant things.

Shouldn't we remove those pages so we get a smaller but more relevant manual?

Hi all,

currently we have <tag> in the language file, which can have all
attributes, a style for all of them and an autocomplete append option
for all of them.

I was thinking if we should make that more flexible, like:

<tag ....>
<attributes class="html5only" list="..,..,..,.."
highlight="attribs-html5" />
<attributes class="genericattributes" list="..,..,..,.." highlight="" />
<attributes class="deprecatedattributes" list="..,..,..,.."
highlight="deprecated-attributes" />
</tag>

That would make the language config more flexible and configurable.
Would that be a good thing?

Hi all,

Two suggestions:

1) At the moment output parsers, browsers, filters etc. can be declared
or removed and all declared are shown in the menu. IMHO we should better
create an enable/disable mechanism, so users don't have to delete
commands via preferences but can choose, which of them should be shown
in the menu.

2) The preferences menu contains two buttons: add and delete for
parsers|filters|browsers etc. These buttons should have tooltips or a
label. Otherwise it might not be clear to a user, what they are supposed
to do.

taking the error message and placing that in the message column.

     I have pasted the configuration I used that worked.

Hi,
W3C Targets 2014 for HTML5 Standard. HTML 4 and 5 will therefore coexist for a
long time in our respective projects. It's time to have full support for HTML 5,
so we need a way to discriminate clearly the elements and attributes of one and
another.

For attributes in widgets:
Rather than scoring each time 'HTML4 only' etc.. as is done in Tools> Dialogs>
Scripts, I propose a color code:
red for HTML4 deprecated,
normal black for attributes that are for both HTML4 and 5,
green for HTML 4 only,
gold for HTML 5 only.
For attributes that do not have the same set of values: two separate inputs,
one green and one gold.
For the elements where the differences are very important, a switch that selects
either HTML 4 or HTML 5.

For elements in Tags and Dialogs Menus and Htmlbar:
a red, green or gold line at the right of the icon.

Thank you kindly let me know what you think.

Vertical stripe. Bug or feature?

Hi

A vertical stripe is constantly visible at the left side of the
screen, where the line numbers were (I disabled them). Since it is a
different color from the background color that I chose, it it visually
unpleasant. Is there a way to eliminate that stripe, for example by
setting the color of that stripe as the same color of the text
background.

BTW this stripe also create a problem of visibilility for the cursor,
when the cursor is at the first character of a line; that is because
of the cursor is a vertical line, which is right next to this vertical
strip, and can hardly be seen.

So, I don't know if this vertical stripe is a bug or a feature, but it
is certainly annoying.

Can someone please tell me how to remove it?

Thanks
