i'm trying to install on Debian the OpenXPKI CA, i followed this tutorial (
http://wiki.openxpki.org/index.php/Best_Practices/Operating_systems/Debian/Debian_Package_Installation#How_To_Install_OpenXPKI_on_Debian),
but after the installation of everything apache2 doesn't work.when i try to
go to http:\\localhost there is no server available, In the error.log file
of apache2 it appears this:

[Mason] "Cannot resolve file to component: /var/www/index.html (is file
outside component root?) at /usr/share/perl5/HTML/Mason/ApacheHandler.pm

Anyone can help me??

Thank you

Last midnight snapshot generator is back:

http://www7.openxpki.org/lastmidnight/index.html

New version numbering is as follows:

(distribution-name).(major-version).ccyymmdd.hhmmss

with (major-version) = (number).(number) as returned by vergen utility
from the OpenXPKI toolkit,
and date-time label ccyymmdd.hhmmss identifying the last commit to the
part of code related to this particular tarball.

2. Last Midnight Snapshot generator which reported its activity to

has been recently switched off until needed code fix.

3. All refs to both resources have been removed from the sources of

<title>OpenXPKI Wiki write restrictions, website revamp</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.security.openxpki.user/479</link>
    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Hi,

recently a wave of Wiki spam has been hitting the OpenXPKI wiki. As we currently have few contributions, I have decided to remove write permissions for normal users in order to deal with this problem. I apologize for this measure, but I at that rate I cannot keep up with the rate spammers continue to modify the Wiki.

Regarding the website: we are currently setting up a revamp of the OpenXPKI website. In the future we will be using the SourceForge web hosting, eventually migrating away from the distributed web mirrors.
For content management our idea is to keep the web site in a separate Git repository, based on the popular Jekyll blogging site generator.

In the future I see user contributions to the web site and/or the documentation happening via Git pull requests and an integration step by one of the developers.

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Hi again,

I have worked through a "test plan" which I have set up for myself with
the default TESTDUMMYCA and got to the following point:

- Sign in as root and unlock CA key -&amp;gt; successful
- Issue CRL -&amp;gt; successful
- Request CA Operator Certificate using basic template -&amp;gt; successful
- Login as raop and approve CSR without signature -&amp;gt; successful
- Request RA Operator Certificate using basic template -&amp;gt; successful
- Login as root using external static mode and approve CSR without
signature -&amp;gt; successful
- Login as John Doe and request User Certificate using basic template -&amp;gt;
successful
- Login as raop with digital signature -&amp;gt; successful
- Approve CSR with digital signature -&amp;gt; error

I have already configured my trust_anchors in auth.xml,
workflow_validator_certificate_revocation_request.xml and
workflow_validator_certificate_signing_request.xml
to
I18N_OPENXPKI_DEPLOYMENT_TEST_DUMMY_CA.

    <title>Missing Request Tasks for Operators</title>
    <link>http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.security.openxpki.user/464</link>
    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Hi,

I have built &amp;amp; installed revision 1552 successfully on Ubuntu Lucid
10.04 LTS.

Just a side note for other users reading this: I had to copy over the
same missing folders &amp;amp; files mentioned by Robert Weiman in his Post:
"Re: [OpenXPKI-users] Installing on Debian (was: Installing on Ubuntu
9.10)" from 19.11.2010.

I wanted to do functionality tests with the preconfigured demo CA before
migrating the database &amp;amp; files of my old installation which was
successfully running on rev. 1488 before.

I ran into the following problem: I am missing the "Issue CRL" and
Request/Revoke Certificate tasks for CA Operator in the "Request" section.
The RA Operator also has no Tasks in the "Request" section.

I have already looked into acl.xml and have found that both should have
the permission to create these workflows. Seems like the web interface
does not read this correctly.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Marc

<description>&lt;pre&gt;I am trying to setup OpenXPKI on the Debian beta of Turnkey Linux
which is Lenny based. It took a while to get the packages to install,
the sources.list file that is provided at the following page seems to
have a typo or maybe I am crazy. I had to change the following line:

deb http://build0.cynops.de/dpkg lenny/binary/

to:

deb http://build0.cynops.de/dpkg/lenny binary/

Without this change it would do an apt-get update correctly but when
it tried to download packages it would get a 404 because the URL was
incorrect. After the above change I was able to install using
apt-get. Now when I try to browse to the admin page I get the
following error in the Apache log(I cleaned it up a bit, was all on
one line)

Error during compilation of /var/www/openxpki/syshandler:

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Bonjour All,

When we make a change in the configuration XML files then the OpenXPKI server
has to be restarted to get the new xml but the CA key gets locked again. How it
can be done that XML files is modified but we should not have to restart the
OpenXPKI server ???

<description>&lt;pre&gt;Has anybody managed to install either the latest snapshot tarball or
the latest svn on Ubuntu 9.10? 35 of the tests fail in make test.
I've tried doing both finding packages via apt for the perl modules,
where not all of them seem to be available, and using the CPAN package
specified on the wiki 'Bundle::OpenXPKI'.

Thanks,
Bob

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Hi,

openxpki indirectly depends upon module Devel::StackTrace
Beware: version 1.23 of the latter has a bug, which cause confusing
error messages from openxpki-deployment during configure stage.
Use of version 1.24 available from CPAN is recommended.

All the best, Sergei
