As of its latest version, the Strinx library provides dictionary: a container with similar semantics and interface to std::map<string, T>. A dictionary uses Ternary-Search-Tree as its underlying data structure, and therefore has better performance over map where the insert-lookup keys are strings. The workshop will this time to some extent focus on the relationship between software transformation technologies and related technologies such as reflection (supported, e.g., by Java), (template) meta-programming (supported by C++), and staged programming languages. This new release contains several enhancements, including the ability to define alternative thread management and work scheduling for each server instance (PionScheduler is no longer a singleton), and the ability to bind any function object (or function if you use boost::bind) to an HTTP resource (the use of WebService plugins is now optional). We've also added a std::basic_iostream wrapper for TCPConnection objects called TCPStream. In addition, we fixed several bugs that were identified within the last (v0.5.2) release, including issues with parsing chunked entity content, and with parsing responses that include neither "Content- Length" nor "Transfer-Encoding" HTTP headers. Also, the HTTPRequest and HTTPResponse objects now sort HTTP headers using a case- insensitive map, so lookups should now work properly regardless of the capitalization used (if any). Although we have several new things planned for the next few months (such as adding support for user authentication), the networking library is now mostly stabilized and ready for general use. The Pion CEP Platform is open source software, published under the GNU Affero GPL license. The platform is a real-time event processing engine that is designed to be extremely extensible through the use plugins. I was wondering if there is interest for such a binary_iostreams library? The binary_iostreams is a small library, very similar to the iostreams library. Compared to iostreams, the unformatted I/O operators remain, and the formatted I/O operators now do binary I/O. This makes the binary_iostreams library easy to use for anyone acquainted with the iostreams library. The binary_iostreams library allows to set the endianness of the output stream. Together with <cstdint>, this allows for portable binary I/O, although binary_iostreams does not claim to be a full blown serialization library. This tool allows C++ developers to perform static analysis of C++ exception propagation, and will also generate documentation of that exception propagation that can be processed with Doxygen (Currently requires a patched version of doxygen). There are future plans to support the ability for users to create plugins for this application to generate documentation in various additional formats. It provides a well rounded platform agnostic alternative to both Boost and STL, but also contains many complimentary features. It is written using a metaphor more akin to Java or .NET but still has a very powerful and portable library of generic collections such as List<>, Array<>, Map<>, Set<>, Hashmap<>, and Hashset<>. Naturally it also has Iterator<>'s and all the other features you would expect. On the whole Reason is probably a little more consistent than Boost/STL and focuses on usability and readability above genrics. One of its key design goals is the principle of least surprise... You will find classes for networking (including client and server implementations of common protocols like http), threading, streams, strings, filesystem & io, compression, encryption, dates & times, regular expressions, sql, xml, xpath, logging & configuration, and high resolution timers.
