Assignee: digikam-devel-RoXCvvDuEio&lt; at &gt;public.gmane.org
Summary: F5 in image preview jumps to top of album
    Classification: Unclassified

          Reporter: matze-h0pcvBbFh9EMb+B85CZM8Q&lt; at &gt;public.gmane.org
          Hardware: Compiled Sources
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: Albums GUI
           Product: digikam

Pressing F5 inside an album view reloads the album and selects the topmost
photo of the album. While this looks correct at first glance it is totally
annoying. Normally, there is no reason to reload an album at all. I do it only
when I suspect that new image that should be there are not showing up. Then
most of the time I have scrolled to the last image in the album. Pressing F5
jumps back to the top, which is annoying.

It is especially annoying when you are previewing an image and press F5. I do
this when I suspect that the preview is outdated because I edited it outside of
digikam (e.g. in GIMP). F5 should then just reload the image preview, instead
it jumps to the first image in the folder.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Album View, scroll down to last image, press F3 to preview
2. Press F5 to reload

Actual Results:
Digikam jumps to first image in folder and previews it.

Expected Results:
Digikam should reload the preview

"Whenever you use the Print Assistant wizard, you need to specify "Inches"
under "Page Settings" before proceeding to select a page layout. If you do not,
you cannot select the 3.5 x 5" layout. This needs to be specified every time,
including if you press "Back" from the page layout selection.

This is despite the "Imperial System" being selected under Other in the
Country/Region &amp; Language menu of the KDE System Settings. This is a fairly old
bug that has been around since at least 1.x, although I am only reporting it
now."

When using "extended search", one has to select specific folders.

Whereas subfolders are selected too, when selecting folders at other places, in
"extended search" this option does not work, unfortutately.

Therefore, one is forced to select each foider seperateley.

With 2614 subfolders this is no option.

          Hardware: Gentoo Packages
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: Tags
           Product: digikam

Since I started using digiKam a few years ago my tagging habits changed and I
wanted to clean the tags up and make them consistent, so I rearranged them into
neat hierarchies and delete the old tags.
I also wanted to recreate digikam.db, to start afresh, but I wanted to keep the
db just in case, so I did a Settings &gt; Database Migration. The old db was about
50MB, the migrated one was 21MB. It cleaned some stuff out, good, that was the
point.

Now I closed digiKam, deleted digikam.db (the old one, the new one was kept in
backup elsewhere) and restarted digiKam. After scanning my photos, I noticed
that the old tags were back.
I selected all the photos in each collection (I have 3 collections), in the
Captions/Tags tab I selected Information &gt; Template &gt; my new template, and
clicked on More &gt; Write metadata to each file.
This took a good hour or two.
I did not enable "write metadata to raw files" so I presume digiKam wrote
metadata to all files except my PEFs, whose metadata it stored in the
digikam.db file.

Now I closed digiKam, deleted digikam.db, and restarted it. It should only show
the new tags since it would read them from the non-raws, and the raw files
should have no tags since the db was deleted. Well that's not entirely the
case.

I see the new tags, but I also see the old ones. In fact every first photo in
every album has the old tags and the new tags. Every other photo has just the
new ones.
e.g.:
/media/photos/2012-05-01/001.jpg will have both old and new tags
/media/photos/2012-05-01/002.jpg - 100.jpg will have just the new tags.

Bug#673161: Starting mysqld in a chroot

<pre>Hi,

I was mistaken in my previous message. Generating a decent /etc/mtab with the line

grep "${CHROOT_PATH}" /etc/mtab | sed -e "s:${CHROOT_PATH}/\?:/:" &gt;"${CHROOT_PATH}/etc/mtab"

in /etc/schroot/setup.d/99mini-buildd helped get rid of warnings from df,
but mysqld was trying to start without it as well.

Mysqld tries to bind to a port at start-up, and fails when another mysqld outside the chroot is already
bound to that port. When mysqld is not running in the host machine, it starts in a chroot just fine.
It should also work when mysqld in the host is listening on a non-standard port.

Regards,
Arnold

showfoto_2.6.0~rc-3_amd64.deb: package says section is kde, override says graphics.

Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the
archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell,
httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video,
xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into
these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if
the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package
at the next upload.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please file a bug against ftp.debian.org and
explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we
won't be able to deal with your request due to missing information.

Please make sure that the subject of the bug you file follows the
following format:

Subject: override: BINARY1:section/priority, [...], BINARYX:section/priority

Include the justification for the change in the body of the mail please.

and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your bug
needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until

Bug#673161: mysql-server-5.1 is available, but fails to start in chroot

<pre>Hi,

Being interested in digikam 2.6.0, I have tried building it for Wheezy with my own mini-buildd.
I have discovered that while mysql-server-5.1 is still available in Wheezy, it cannot be set up
in a schroot environment.
The post installation script of mysql-server-5.1 invokes the init script to start mysqld.
The init script of mysql-server users df to check for a nearly full file system before starting,
but df fails in a schroot environment, so nothing is started and apt-get reports an error
with mysql-server-5.1.

I think the schroot package is to blame here, though it may be argued that the bug should be
reassigned to some other part of the build system, coreutils (df) or mysql-server-5.1 instead.

Regards,
Arnold

Hi!

Your package failed to build on the buildds as it depends on
mysql-server-5.1 for building which is no longer available.

digikam override disparity

<pre>There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

kipi-plugins_2.6.0~rc-2_amd64.deb: package says section is graphics, override says kde.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you already filed a bug
and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your bug
needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until
then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.]
