There are some keys combination that generates an additional key press. This seems a system bug. It can be reproduced in any textbox (like the contact search). If you press a+x+up arrow you'll see a "p". I noticed it while using the Game Gripper with the psx emulator: pressing down+left+circle will end in a down+left+triangle+circle combination. I debugged the key-press-event and it is really getting a press event for the key "p" (code 33). There are also other strange keys combination like a+x+return = "," a+x+. = "o." Hopefully I will have better luck this time - I have two applications waiting for a workaround so I can release them to the Harmattan platform. The application will crash with segfault if the javascript tries to update the screen when (or after) the user switches to the task switcher on harmattan. This is the output: Meego graphics system destroyed QPaintDevice: Cannot destroy paint device that is being painted Segmentation fault Finished running remote process. Exit code was 139. I have now a very simple example that reproduce the issue 100% of the time. I can't report this to the harmattan bug web site anymore so I am posting to any and all channels were I can find someone with expertise to help me. The download is at http://www.cncmods.net/files/backupdec.zip and is compiled via backupdec.sh. It will compile in scratchbox if you have libosso-gsf-1-dev, libglib-2.0-dev and libssl-dev installed or it should compile in a normal linux environment if you have normal libgsf, glib and openssl headers installed (you will need to edit the sh file pkg-config options for this) To run the compiled binary, run backupdec in out password where in is the encrypted zip file from the backup, out is the name of the output unencrypted zip file and password is the password used when the zip file was created. It can also be used to decrypt zip files on the N900 itself if you want to decrypt the files without actually restoring the backup.
