have u successfully installed tinyos, where there is a complicated make file system for you to comple for target micaz, mica2, etc ?
That Makefile alone in the tutorial is not enough for u to compile a tinyos app.

Cheers

Just trying tinyOS out. I was following this example:
http://docs.tinyos.net/tinywiki/index.php/The_simplest_TinyOS_program

Now, when I get to the part about running make, I get this error:
$ make micaz
make: *** No rule to make target `micaz'. Stop.

Which makes sense, Makefiles do not work this way. But, then how?

<pre>I think at 500 or 1000 ms, you've gone past the optimal point - CTP nodes have to send regular beacons, and with such long preambles that will require a lot of energy from both the sender and the receivers. Try 50-100 ms as a ball park figure. For a more accurate calculation, do what we did and put the required TX/RX current into a spreadsheet and work out the optimal interval given the number of nodes and expected transmit rate. And no, sorry, I can't just give you our spreadsheet ;-)

<pre>Dear all

I am learning to use Blip following the tutorials.

One of my final objectives is that remote nodes sensing information will be
saved in a database on the computer side. The idea is to use UDPecho as
base application, add code for sensor reading and open an UDP socket by
sending the data up to the computer throught the edge router with the
PppRouter application loaded on it.

I found in the folder "/opt/tinyos-2.1.2/support/sdk/c/blip/libtcp" the
example "test_server.c". Could I use this C programm as starting point to
develop a PC application? Can I send/receive data to/from remote nodes
using UDP connections?

Thanks in advance.

1. Install application on two motes (Runs successfully)

4. Erase the motes ( using "/usr/bin/tos-bsl --telosb -c /dev/ttyUSB0 -r -e -I -p blank.ihex")

Hi there,

I have been working on porting TinyOS to the Arduino Uno. You can find the
repo and details here:

https://github.com/jmattsson/tinyos-arduino/wiki/TinyOS-for-the-Arduino-Uno-platform

At the moment I'm working on completing the Arduino EtherTen support, and
as such I haven't got any radio chips integrated yet. Markus Becker has
been tinkering in that area though, and might have something over at
https://github.com/markushx/tinyos-arduino-MRF24J40MA

Right now my Arduino work is on hold as I have other far more pressing
matters to deal with.

<pre>You can do the following,

In the configuration use the sensirion component

components new SensirionSht11C() as Tmp;
SensorsC.Humidity -&gt; Tmp.Humidity;

SensorsC is my module file where I have declared the Read interface as Humidity.

In the module file you can then simply call the read command Humidity.read() and get the data. The data though would be raw and would need to be converted to humidity value. The formula can be found in the sensirion data sheet I guess.

<pre>Hello,

I am a Tinyos begineer. So, I am looking for a good reference (course and
labs) in order to write my Nesc code.

I will be very grateful if someone can help me.

Best regards
