先前有根據發表會議及期刊論文的歷年記錄來證明學術界對維基百科日益增長的興趣。(注意下圖的數據有可能低估，因為該數據是根據在某一特定英文維基百科條目上自我登錄的資料)

那麼中文世界呢？為了要觀察是否及何時中國、香港及台灣等地是否有類似的發展，我搜集了中國及台灣主要的博碩士論文資料庫，並報告相關圖表如下.
(香港資料有點小麻煩，隨後再更新.)

現在還太早論斷說中文世界對維基百科的學術興趣已到頂，因為2011年的數字還可能要等回才會完全正確反映出來, 不過可以看到台灣的博碩士論文似乎己於2009年到頂。
