Kai/Bass & Drums

I think this came up a little while ago, but regardles...if anyone is
looking for cheap MP3 versions (no FLAC though unfortunately) of the Kai
and Bass & Drums releases, CD Universe still has them dirt cheap. Something
like $4.99 for Kai and $2.99 for Bass & Drums.

It was a great concert. Ridiculously short. We attended it first row, right in-the-face, real impressive, and it is very nice to re-enjoy again on the video which is an unusually ok document. God job Moers Festival HS RM etc and arteliveweb. Bill stated that it was in his opinion the best Blixt so far and I agree. Way to go, Blixt. Thanks RB BL MA JD RM HS.

When I saw them in at the Stone last year, they were all improvised. I'd assume the same now.

ok then....someone pointed out to me that iTunes (and Amazon FWIW) now have
Nahariama for sale digitally in their stores. Evidently with the shifting
on sale date, the tracks made their way out and they ran with the original
release. CDs and vinyl still set for May 28, though direct orders are often

way, they've been great about getting then to your door ON the actual
release date.

That Tuwaqaachi pricing unfortunately exposes some of the limitations of digital distribution deals and price structuring particularly when you have a release broken into a high number of tracks but still available individually.  Believe me - it was definitely not an effort to gouge fans. That's one of the reasons the FLAC price was held down to the same price as MP3.

I've only heard the samples & didn't care for the singing but other than that the music & his playing sound very interesting. Had never heard of Fredrix. Speaking of pricing I noticed Tuwaqachi selling for $17.99 (MP3 and FLAC) which seems on the high side to say the least. Maybe w/o a physical cd release they can put a premium  on the digital price (?)

Bill's know him I believe from his earliest days in NYC. They were in a
band called Son (or Sun) in the '70s. There are some YouTube clips floating
around I think. Don't seem to work together much but Bill did appear on
Randy's "Masters of None" about 20 years back, and now this. He lives in
Woodstock with his family.

Sean - I haven't heard the album yet...any opinion? I didn't care for
Masters of None (I think the only other thing I really know as far as
recordings) but he's a great player. Super nice guy too. I was thinking
maybe this trio format would yield some interesting stuff.
