I'm using the driver with a 2.6.20 kernel, you have just to modify the
low level I/O functions. I don't know what is the effort for the
mainline kernel. The blackfin/uclinux driver work as is with little
endian architecture. If you have to use it with a big endian
architecture I can send you a patch.

linux/usb/isp1362.h - a file that doesn't exist in mainline.

You mean that isp1362-hcd stuff on sourceforge? Well...

Unfortunately, that's not my choice. The hardware is as it is...

OK, seems to be a bit of work to get this running on a recent kernel.

Thanks for your help,

You are lucky, nxp have made open source driver on sourceforge

It's for x86 pci bus so need some hacking if you want to use it on other

Hi,
the isp1362 is used in one of the Blackfin evaluation board and you can
find there the device driver. It works for me, but not with all the USB
devices. For example it works only with some USB keys. In any case that
chip is quite old, try to find something new (and better supported).

specially on the HCD side.
Hope you can port the existing driver in 2.6.21-rmk1 to current kernel

Yes, and work fine. The problem is that it lack isoc transfer support.
I need it for a quickcam 4000 pro that work on 2.4.21-rmk1 kernel with
hacked philips driver. I have updated kernel form 2.4.21-rmk1 to 2.6.23:
all driver was ported, but the philips driver is too old for the new kernel.

Thank you very much Felipe, I have posted all my messages to the old ML.
My idea was to add isoc support to the actual driver but also I take a
look to the isp1301_omap.c (and i post my message about isoc to the new ML)

In theory they can. However the current version of the g_file_storage
driver is not designed to coexist with other gadget drivers. There has
been some progress in that direction, but you'll have to search through
the mailing list archives to find it.

You do need a middle layer, but not to synchronize calls. The middle
layer is needed to allocate resources such as endpoints, interface
numbers, descriptors, and so on.

Another issue you will face is that the two drivers cannot share the
same storage medium unless they both are set to read-only access.

I finally made time to investigate it, and saw this too.

The problem seems to be that userspace didn't understand the
data it was getting. On slightly closer examination, the
cause became apparent: I was using an old binary.

The struct passed into the kernel had two fields swapped in
order to provide the same ABI on 32-bit and 64-bit kernels.
(This is OK for such "EXPERIMENTAL" features, for which a
stable API isn't yet provided.)

The fix was to recompile, using the updated interface to
gadgetfs. Then it worked fine.

I will modify it to check it before calling this function.

This check was unnecessary...

I tried to enable lockdep. The development environment for USBF
could boot Linux :-) And it detected a problem of spinlock.
I will fix this problem.

I understood it.

I understood it. I will try to modify this function.

I understood it.

I will change the function name into "sh_udc_ep_enable".
And I will add error checking in enable method.

I will remove ISO-only endpoints.

I will delete this method.

I will try to debug the spinlock bug.

Thanks,
Yoshihiro Shimoda

    <title>isp1161x isochronous transfers support - helpneeded</title>
    <link>http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.devel/60940</link>
    <description>Hi guys,

excuse me if I still ask help, but philips said that only 2.4.x kernel
version driver was developed for the isp1161.
I need to add isoc mode to the driver but I'm not know how to do this.
Any kind of suggestion is well accepted (documentation, patch,
examples,... something else).

Many thanks,
