Public bug reported:

I am on Ubuntu12.10 Quantal 64bit.

In qtcreator is in menu -> Tools -> Options... -> Help

the possibility to adapt the font size of the qtcreator help browser.

This do not work.

Any adaption of the font size has an effect to the help browser(after
applying and ok).

Even a newstart of qtcreator does not do it.

Other fonts even do not have the abbility to get their size chanched.

I download the Kubuntu DVD thinking it will have the entirety of KDE on
it - namely all the packages whose sources available from KDE -- those
listed at: http://kde.org/info/3.5.4.php

However, I was highly disappointed to find that important, useful and
serious packages have been omitted while fun packages like kdegames and
kdetoys have been included. kdeaccessibility, kdeedu and kdevelop have
been totally omitted as are some packages from kdeadmin, kdegraphics,
kdemultimedia, kdenetwork, kdepim, kdesdk and kdeutils.

In place of this, foreign (to the KDE environment) packages such as
Evolution and some gnome* packages have been included, taking up
unnecessary (in a KDE-focused distro) space. These can be removed to
make space for the real KDE packages.

In fact, the size of the DVD is 3.4 GB - we still have 600 MB to fill
up. It is only in case you don't want to go beyond 3.5 GB that my above
suggestion of removing the GNOME apps is needed.

Now I am not asking th

This is Kubuntu-11.10, all current updates applied, 64-bit.

the problem is the screen keeps blanking -- going to black every few
seconds, regularly, and moving the mouse does restore the normal screen.
I do not have any screensavers activated, and everything on Power save
is turned off. I tried turning off dpms with:

xset dpms 0 0 0
xset dpms off
xset -dpms

And then maybe 30 seconds later, the screen goes black, and checking
with xset -q, dpms has been turned back on.

I cannot figure out how to completely disable dpms. this is extremely
irritating, as I cannot work with the screen going black every few
seconds. Something is turning it back on, and I haven't been able to
figure out what. I set up xorg.conf to disable dpms with:

Section "ServerFlags"
        Option "blank time" "0"
        Option "standby time" "0"
        Option "suspend time" "0"

I few times since upgrading this laptop to KDE 4.7 (and moving from
Kmail to Kmail2) I've been unable to read email via imap. When I click

indefinitely.

I tried exiting kmail and restarting it, but still had the same problem.
After stopping and starting akonadi using the Akonadi Server
Configuration KCM, then it was able to read mail (without restarting
kmail2 again).

Note: Akonadi version is actually 1.6.1, but I didn't see that option

My Kubuntu 12.04 system updated to xsetting-kde-0.12.3-0ubuntu2.1 a few
hours ago. A reboot or restart of the xserver was requested. After a
reboot the video display began blanking (black screen) every 2 or 3
seconds. I had to move the mouse to keep the display visible.

I opened a Konsole and issued:
xset dpms 0 0 0

and the blanking stopped. However, some video events (starting a
youtube video or opening a PDF) restarts the blanking and the above
command has to be repeated. Settings in the "Power Settings" option
of the battery monitor have no effect.
