Fedora Board, FESCo,and FAmSCo elections: Town hall meeting schedule

<pre>As you have (hopefully) heard by now, elections for the Fedora Board,
FESCo, and FAmSCo are quickly approaching.

In each election cycle, a series of town hall meetings is held to give
community members and opportunity to ask candidates questions - and hear
their answers - via IRC.

The town hall schedule for the upcoming election is as follows:

Fedora Project Board:
* Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 17:00 UTC
* Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 20:00 UTC

FESCo (Fedora Engineering Steering Committee):
* Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 17:00 UTC
* Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 20:00 UTC

FAmSCo (Fedora Ambassadors Steering Committee):
* Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 16:00 UTC
* Monday, May 28 at 17:00 UTC

Not sure what time that is? Use a handy-dandy time zone calculator to
find out when to show up:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

Important information about how you can participate in the town halls
via IRC, as well as the details of each town hall meeting, can be seen

Apologies about the late notice but the next (and hopefully last)
Fedora 17 final blocker bug review meeting will be today Friday,
2012-05-18.

We'll be running through the beta blockers and nice-to-haves. An
updated list of blocker bugs is available at:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Current_Release_Blockers.

We'll be reviewing the bugs to determine ...

1. Whether they meet the final release criteria [1] and should stay
     on the list
2. Whether they are getting the attention they need

For guidance on Blocker and Nice-to-have (NTH) bugs, please refer to

<pre>At the Go/No-Go meeting today, it was decided to slip the GA of Fedora
17 by one week[1]. There are currently 4 remaining release blockers[2],
necessitating the creation of RC2. Minutes follow below.

GA for F17 is now scheduled for 2012-05-29. Adjustments to the

We will be meeting again next Thursday, 2012-05-24, for another Go/No-Go

The next review meeting will be on Friday, 2012-05-11. We'll be running
through the beta blockers and nice-to-haves. An updated list of blocker
bugs is available at:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Current_Release_Blockers.

We'll be reviewing the bugs to determine ...

1. Whether they meet the final release criteria [1] and should stay
     on the list
2. Whether they are getting the attention they need

fastest download, but download-ib01.fedoraproject.org is available as a
mirror (with an approximately 1 hour lag) in case of trouble. To use it,
just replace "dl" with "download-ib01" in the download URL.

<pre>Just wanted to bring to the attention of F17 testers that problems
emerged with both accountsservice 0.6.19 and 0.6.20, and the desktop
team decided to unpush both updates and, instead of trying to come up
with something that works, go with 0.6.18 for the F17 final release. So
if you're an F17 tester and you got accountsservice 0.6.19 or 0.6.20
from updates-testing, please downgrade to 0.6.18 from 'fedora' repo.
Once the updates have both been un-pushed and mirrors have caught up,
'yum distro-sync' should do this: otherwise, you can use 'yum
downgrade'. Thanks!

Apparently we're trying to set a record for the number of blocker
review meetings in one week. We should get through the rest of them
this time, though.

Note the non-usual time - Thursday instead of Friday.

We were able to get through some of the blockers at the review meeting
earlier today but the list is still way too long. I really want to get
though the rest of the proposed blocker and NTH bugs by the end of the
week.

So, I'm scheduling the next review meeting for Thursday 2012-05-03. If
we manage to get through the entire list on Thursday, we'll skip Friday
but this way we won't have a forced marathon meeting in order to get
through all of them by the end of the week.
