Hello,

Long ago (February 16/17, 2007) I reported that s2ram was working on my
computer, an Acer Aspire 3003WLMi. I reported this success and created a
table like the following one, indicating options that seemed to work and
others that didn't, for both X and console:

WARNING: TABLE ONLY FOR HISTORICAL PURPOSES

In the emails that followed, this conclusion was reached:

And it apparently worked. However, through experimentations and as
months have passed, I have discovered that it only worked _sometimes_,
and as time passed it has been working less and less until today, when
it simply never works. It suffers from the same problem as described in
the second note (marked by two asterisk), which is a minor but annoying
problem.

In this time, I have come to the conclusion, through a lot of
experimentation, that the proper way to always get it to work is to call
s2ram as described in the second "YES", with "-f -p -s", and I'd like to
apologize for giving wrong information in the first place, and in an

Hello,

the following command line arguments work:
# s2ram -f -a 1
(s2ram -f -a 3 works too)

Test both vc/1 without vga= and X work.

Special setup I needed to make it work:
(Hopefully as reference for other people with this hardware.)

It won't suspend at all if the TPM module is activated in the
BIOS. This is important, I spend quite a bit of time to
localize the problem by testing all possible combinations with
        all kinds of BIOS combinations.

To make it work in X you need to set the Option "NoAccel" in the
        intel driver device section.
        libdrm: 2.3.1
        xf86-video-intel: 2.4.3

I've read that the latest git version of libdrm,
        xf86-video-intel will fix the problem.

I'm trying that later and will report back.
