Archived releases are available here:

http://archive.debian.org/

ISO images for archived releases are available here:

http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/archive/

The snapshot website contains all old source and binary packages:

Please file an installation report so that it can get fixed:

In general using archived releases is not necessary because our latest
release is usually better.

<description>&lt;pre&gt;Hi. I don't know whether i'm writing to right address.
Anyway i just wanted for ability to download previous debian releases to
exist on site and its mirrors.

Because i've experienced situation there i get error with new release:
concretely problem with installation it in virtualbox.
But there is no possibility to download previous releases from official
source or its mirrors. It kind of suprising also to see that for such
popular distribution.

Please tell me if i writing to wrong address.

Best regards, Vyacheslav.

I technically can, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen a lot in practice. Preparing a patch takes an important time relative to this issue's importance, and that lowers the task quite a lot in my priorities especially when I don't have the insurance the patch would be used. :-(

I'm sorry but I think the most efficient workflow for such trivialities is for the contributor applying the change to make it too.

Hey guys,

I have just installed Wheezy on my old Thinkpad, and it went perfectly fine!
Thanks for that!
In preparation for that installation, it came to my mind, that I could try
installing via win32-loader, since I had Windows XP running on that machine.
So I downloaded it from the web and the installation worked perfectly,
as said above.

But I noticed, that this way of installing Debian is not mentioned on
the "Getting Debian" page or on
http://www.debian.org/releases/wheezy/debian-installer/.
Wouldn't this be good, to mention as another way of installing Debian?

I could prepare a patch, if desired.

Cheers
Holger

Thanks for the notice.

The generation of the file containing, for all archs, the reverse map file -&amp;gt;

In detail, sort -T seems to block while there are both enough ram and disk to
handle that.

As this never ends, the db file generated from the sort -T output is never
considered finished, and never put in place for packages.d.o operation.

I'll copy the files from picconi and try to reproduce that at home..

    <description>&lt;pre&gt;Hi,
I decided to install Debian 6.0.7 on my AMD64 old Compact Presario. The
installation process went well (as far as I know) until it was time to
start up my new system. As it was scrolling through the set-up after the
GRUB menu it aborted and then the monitor went to sleep. That was as far
as I have been able to go. I have re-installed it a few times with the same
problem occurring each time. I am new to debian and unfamiliar with the
terminology...Just a beginner. Does anyone know a fix for this?

I like the idea. There are probably enough designers on the
