Getting it polished would be awesome :-) I've noticed if you try to create a new folder it displays a duplicate of the tree model.
Also, I think hitting delete should allow file deletion (with a warning dialog).
Thanks for adopting treebrowser :-)

This version fixes two specific but important issues of the 1.23 release:

* Fix custom styles under KDE and for people using gtk-chtheme

* Fix broken opening files from command line on Windows (#3613096).

As usual, all downloads can be found on http://download.geany.org/.

<pre>I see that the treebrowser plugin has been orphaned. I'd like to take
over as an active maintainer, since I'd like to see this plugin
survive. I've just sent a pull request to add me to the MAINTAINERS
file.

The treebrowser is for those of us who want a richer set of file
manager operations than is provided by Geany's built-in file browser
plugin. That means creating, deleting, renaming files and so on. The
treebrowser seems a bit buggy and unstable at the moment, so my most
immediate goal is to return it to stability. I'd also like to shorten
the context menu and make the treebrowser more polished and usable in
general. Finally it would be nice to support fancier operations such
as drag and drop someday, time permitting. :)

Comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Why do we need an entirely plugin_build_syspath() function? Even for a
portable Geany, the above directories can be #define-d as functions.

What should plugin_build_syspath() return to cover both directories?
Something different, depending on whether the last "..." ends with

Maybe we can standartize PLUGIN*DIR instead, including automatically

Also, a C function covers the access, but not the installation...

For now, I committed a workaround for Windows to the 1.23 branch to

This should do for the 1.23 series, for master we should find a real

That's probably because the (current) scope completion code is well,
maybe "idiotic" is the word. But actually I don't know much since I
don't get this code, maybe ask Nick (he was against me replacing it with
a maybe slower version of this that I did understand, so maybe he did
actually understand the current one).

But anyway, I think it tries very hard to show something, and then will
show rubbish for unknown tags.

And don't forget we don't parse local variables, which means we have no
idea what their type is.

We don't currently have anything to specify "no separator", but we

BTW as we discussed on IRC, we can't really return "" (empty string) or

Do you expect me to know every language? :)
Though, in real programming languages there generally are rules on what

And while you are in symbols.c (or near there ?) in C++ symbols defined

those symbols still get rubbish autocompletions when you type symbol-&gt; or

Did some more research.

1. Doesn't happen with rest (I think I must have had the filetype set wrong
when I found it before, hence geany.txt is now marked for filetype :)

2. in symbols_get_context_separator() rest returns something other than '.'

3. tried returning impossible rubbish "!&lt; at &gt;#$%^&amp;*()_" for other markup
languages and they now work like rest.

4. tried returning null string "" but got infinite loop, didn't dare return
NULL :)

So what is the correct way of saying "no context separator for this
filetype"?

Other than markup languages, are there any others that do not have context
separators, or it is not '.' (other than ruby commented
in symbols_get_context_separator)

<pre>Hi,

I often receive information from git diff that
markdown/peg-markdown/markdown_parser.c from the markdown plugin is
either deleted or modified. It's 1st line reads:

/* A recursive-descent parser generated by peg 0.1.9 */

Shouldn't that file be in .gitignore?
