You MUST first either copy /usr/share/pykota/cupspykota into /usr/lib/cups/backend or create a symlink there, set the correct permissions depending on if your system contains a properly configured and compiled CUPS (usually you should set the same owner and permissions as the 'lpd' backend), and finally restart CUPS for it to detect the availability of the cupspykota backend now installed. This is a bug in the way the correct image is chosen. I'll try to fix this ASAP. In the meantime don't worry about this. Also don't forget to ensure your CGI scripts are up to date, since "python setup.py install" only installs them in /usr/share/pykota/cgi-bin/ but not in Apache's cgi-bin directory. These fixes were backported from the 1.27 development tree, which shouldn't be considered useable yet. You should not install it on top of 1.27alpha_something since there are several changes to the pykota.conf configuration file and to the code.
