The new version of Hunspell contains several improvements in which my
other project, OpenTaal, was involved. It has been integrated in
LibreOffice 3.4.0, but the fact that it is missing in OpenOffice.org
makes it difficult for me to keep advising it to users :(

When using large pages like 160 cm x 100 cm, the indent does not work as
expected. Try:
1. New writer document
2a. Format -> Page -> Width: 160 cm
2b. Format -> Page -> Height: 100 cm, click "OK"
3. Zoom out to see the full screen. Switch on the ruler if not visible
3. Place the text cursor to the first line and set the alignment to "Center"
(Ctrl+E).

Expected output: the text is centered within the page width, cursor should be
around 80 cm.
Actual output: the text is centered around 20 cm, definitely not in the center
of the page.

When changing the width of the line by dragging the right upper triangle on the
ruler, the behavior gets more and more erratic. When setting the right upper
triangle to 75 cm, the text becomes left-aligned and the "Indents and Sp

oo opens and saves files created with libreoffice without warnings.
but there can compatibility issues or even data loss.

for example, lo 3.4 calc has a new feature (local named ranges):

<table:named-expressions><table:named-expression table:name="aLocalRange"
table:base-cell-address="$Tabelle1.$A$2"
table:expression="[$Tabelle1.$A$2]"/></table:named-expressions>

cause oo cannot handle these kind of ranges - they get lost on saving...

imho oo should warn users to save files which where originally created with lo
(and vice versa). maybe this could be done by checking "meta:generator" in
"meta.xml", cause the file extensions are same ...

http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=118032

------- Additional Comments from itopica< at >openoffice.org
I am maintaining an old Delphi app that works fine with oo3.2.1 and earlier.
Its interface with OpenOffice uses Bernard Marcelly's "OOo Tool".

Since oo3.3, getPrinter causes an exception as follows:

EVariantBadVarTypeError
Description: "Invalid Variant Type...raised when a variant operation fails
because of a value that isn't a valid variant type."

It looks like the getPrinter method behaves differently since oo3.3. Is this
by design? Perhaps there is a bug?

I would be very happy to look at the source code, but do not know how to obtain
it. I would want to compare the source of getPrinter between v3.2.1 and v3.3.

Regards
Julian Brewer

P.S. The code that throws the exception is marked (***) below.I stress that
this all worked fine until v3.3:

l10n CWS version for testing

Hi I wonder where can I get the l10n CWS drops.

I have the Beta version but not sure if it's the latest drop:
http://download.services.openoffice.org/files/extended/3.4beta/OOo-Dev_3.4beta_20110411_Linux_x86_langpack-rpm_es.tar.gz(this
says 11/04 instead of 05/05)

Also wonder if there are special KeyID builds anywhere on the site.
