I am sorry for failing to find time to comment on this earlier.

Since only a few people have casted an opinion, since there does not
appear to be a consensus on whether and how the lists could co-exist,
and since both lists are low-traffic (which is especially true of
xvendor), I've made the determination to put the xvendor list on hold,
as a "hot spare" of sorts.

I have updated the xvendor web page at:

http://www.openwall.com/community/xvendor

to start with this text:

Note: the xvendor mailing list is currently unused, in favor of the
Distributions list. However, this web page and the rest of the
"infrastructure" behind xvendor is kept around as a "hot spare".

"Distributions" is a hyperlink to:

http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/distributions

I do agree with the suggestion that the current xvendor members
subscribe to Distributions. I already did (last month, in fact).

Lucas - good luck with running the list (and the wiki)!

<description>Hi! This is the ezmlm program. I'm managing the
xvendor-ZwoEplunGu1jrUoiu81ncdBPR1lH4CV8&lt; at &gt;public.gmane.org mailing list.

I'm working for my owner, who can be reached
at xvendor-owner at lists.openwall.com.

To confirm that you would like

   gcmx-xvendor&lt; at &gt;m.gmane.org

added to the xvendor mailing list, please send
an empty reply to this address:

Usually, this happens when you just hit the "reply" button.
If this does not work, simply copy the address and paste it into
the "To:" field of a new message.

This confirmation serves two purposes. First, it verifies that I am able
to get mail through to you. Second, it protects you in case someone
forges a subscription request in your name.
