<pre>
It would be more useful if you told which file it is and which version
instead of paste-binning it. I assume this is the src/sis310_accel.c
from git://gitorious.org/xf86-video-sis671/sis-671-fix.git

Connor's pastebin patch only removed SiSUploadToScratch() from that
one file. You will have to remove all references to that function.
"git grep SiSUploadToScratch" will help you.

Regards,
Tormod

Using this option without the patch fails in working screen. I will
try this again once the patch is successful.

Fixes builds with Solaris Studio 12.3 when lint is enabled, since it no

<pre>The window-specific attributes? You can look at the X window properties,
using a tool like xprop, but that may not be what you want.

Events are delivered over a socket. It's up to the client to determine what
to do with the data retrieved from it. The client may leave unhandled
events as raw data waiting in the socket's buffer, or it may parse them and
put them on its own event queue. Knowing this requires knowing how the
internal application was developed, which you have no knowledge of without
the application's source code.

I'm not sure how knowing "menu lists" (which, as Alan said, has no native
support in the X protocol) would help you build a resource monitor. What's
the use case you have?

<pre>Ok. Thank you for the reply.
Then is it possible to query the window specific attributes of an
application from another program?
And can you please elaborate this "debugger or remote introspection" ?

<pre>Hi,
I think i should be more clear on the specific terms that i previously used.
By "menu list" i meant to say the menus which are often present in the
applications(e.g File, Edit, View, Insert) and by "event queue" i referred
the event queue of the application where the key Events and Mouse Events
are buffered prior to its processing.

I would like to build an application which would monitor an arbitrary
application and notify its total machine resource usage statistics.

I am currently challenged with the following problem.Any help would be
appreciated.

For some x11 application at some particular moment i would like to access

event queue status and everything else) .

What are the functions that can be used for this purpose ?

<pre>Hey ajax,

I haven't had the resources to look at many X11 issues these past few months, but someone bisected a crash to one of your changes back in September (see below). It looks like the issue is with the first hunk of http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=4dc2a76740d921c824a4d8193f39dd373475f02a …

It seems likely that pDamage == NULL is resulting in pGCPriv-&gt;ops = NULL (instead of pGCPriv-&gt;ops = pGC-&gt;ops), and that pGCPriv-&gt;ops == NULL is resulting in the crash later.

Thoughts?

[PULL 1.14] ephyr crash, pnprintf fixes

<pre>The ephyr fix is something useful since I just ran into it myself yesterday.
pnprintf fixes are largely to prevent weird messages on FatalError.

This used to return False before 2f1aedcaed8fd99b823d451bf1fb02330c078f67
but I misssed changing that condition. So now it breaks make check
because InitTouchClassDeviceStruct requires the valuators to be set up.
