In gdiobj.c AnsiFixedFont gets the face-name "Courier", while OEMFixedFont
doesn't get one. I don't think that the correct font is picked when the
face-name is empty. If there is a valid OEM fixed font present in wine we could
simply set the face-name and the problem would be solved.

Hm, with current wine (head commit d29f6c4) I'm unable to reproduce a crash I'm
afraid. It shows a message box saying that such item already exists. Message
box text is broken though - it doesn't show item name properly, all I can see
is a line of placeholder glyphs in place of a name in message template. Can
anyone confirm?

Two years after last comment and still think you should consider this. If some
people don't like it why don't you create a separate module so those who want
to play their gameguard games can play them and those who don't feel safe just
go dual boot or play another games.

(In reply to comment #12)

Hello,

Sorry for the delay, I had to reset my ubuntu vm to work on this.

I think part is a font problem. Could you try running notepad?

wine notepad

I notice that winecfg does not display any arabic and some areas are boxes, but
notepad seems to be pretty functional.

Also the question would be is the text in the menus correct verses the text
inside of the notepad. The code paths for the two are quite different so I
would expect potentially quite a number more issues with the text in the menus.

I think the problem with the buttons having boxes instead of glyphs is a font
one. I am not sure what font is is trying to use but that font does not have
any arabic glyphs.

Some help files have links which when clicked open a popup window.

Wine winhlp32 supports that, but the popups (at least for some HLP files)
appear with scrollbars even when scrollbars are not needed, i.e. when all text
would fit in the popup. The unnecessary scrollbars can obscure much of the text
if the popup is small. If you click one of the scrollbar buttons the scrollbars

That sounds sort of like what I'm seeing with kwin. What actually happens for
me there is that the game opens a popup window that gets the input focus, but
ends up below the main window. Moving the main window (e.g. with alt+click)
away makes the popup visible and allows to continue.

With fvwm the main window starts as 320x240, and I get a popup saying something
along the lines of the minimum display mode being 1024x768. What happens is
that the window is created with size 320x240, but with WS_MAXIMIZE set. We end
up setting NET_WM_STATE_FULLSCREEN on the window, but because it's a transient
window fvwm doesn't consider it maximizable, and it ends up as 320x240 instead.
I suppose that's a fvwm bug, although perhaps setting NET_WM_STATE_FULLSCREEN
on a transient window is a bit questionable as well.

In virtual desktop it seems to work fine for me. (I tried&lt;/pre&gt;</description>

This problem (numeric key pad is not working) affects all Wine apps when
connecting via XRDP.

Created attachment 44503

wine-1.5.30 warn+all debug logs

After unzipping mordor11.zip, using wine-1.5.30 default install on ubuntu, with
a clean .wine folder, I ran WINDEBUG=warn+all wine ./setup.exe and collected
the output.

The installer fails to start at all. This is a more severe bug than originally
reported.
